Cold, wet weather can make outdoor paths risky for older adults. A few small steps can help everyone stay safe:

✅ Wear sturdy shoes with good grip, avoid smooth soles
✅ Use handrails whenever they’re available
✅ Clear paths of leaves, moss and debris regularly
✅ Keep entrances well-lit so hazards are easier to see
✅ Walk slowly and take smaller steps when it’s wet or icy

What a fantastic evening!

Home Instead West Leicestershire & Market Bosworth were honoured to be part of the Barlestone Bonfire Night Celebrations yesterday at the Barlestone Community Centre. A huge thank you to Margaret and Josie for helping out at our Spin the Wheel table — and to everyone who stopped by to join in the fun!

We were treated to an absolutely spectacular firework display, and it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces from the community. Finally, a big thank you to Cathie and John for inviting us to be part of such a brilliant event. 💜
