At tonight’s AGM of Royal British Legion Anstey Branch our funeral director, Arran, has been reelected as Secretary and our funeral assistant, Craig, as Parade Marshall. We proud and honoured to support our local branch in these rolls.

With Christmas fast approaching, we have decided to support Anstey, Glenfield, Desford, Beaumont Leys and other local Foodbanks in their collection of advent calendars, selection boxes and other christmas treats for struggling families in the local community.

It would be lovely to think every child could have one of these to celebrate the build up to Christmas. If you would like to kindly donate an advent calendar, selection boxes or other christmas treats, we welcome you to bring them to our office at Talbott House. We will be delivering them to food banks on Monday 24th November

As the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal launches today so our Remembrance display goes up in our reception. We have both the new paper poppies and the 2025 metal pin badges available too, please do pop in and support the appeal.

Today our team are at the SAIF independent funeral directors Education Day.

These days are vital for our team’s continued professional development and today’s series of speakers have been fantastic from funeral world updates, understanding neurodiversity, discussing educational opportunities, learning about trauma informed aftercare, looking at how we can carry on guiding families toward a meaningful goodbye and even finding out about mushroom coffins!

It’s always a great opportunity to network with our funeral friends and colleagues from across the country and speak with some of our suppliers face to face.

Thank you to the team at SAIF for organising such a fantastic opportunity for us!

Today we've worked with our friends Mortons Funeral Hire to provide a family with 'Spencer' who is a Silver Land Rover 130 Hearse.

Originally manufactured as a Military specification general purpose utility vehicle using the longer wheelbase Land Rover 130 chassis, Spencer has since been converted into a beautiful Hearse. Now resplendent in Silver coachwork retaining many original features with the subtle additions of an adjustable deck to increase the available space for coffin flowers, roof mounted chrome wreath rail and clear dual long panel rear side windows.

Thanks to Mortons Funeral Hire and their driver, Craig, for looking after us today!

Whether its a horse drawn, motorbike and side car, double decker bus, london taxi,, reliant robin or even a tank.... we can source many styles of hearses for our families.
