Common issues we see in boxers ๐ฅ
Repetitive uppercuts and fast combinations place constant demand on the supinator muscle, one of the key muscles that rotates the forearm.
When this muscle becomes overworked or tight, it pulls on the tendons around the wrist, increasing strain with every punch.
Add in catching a punch slightly off, misjudging an angle, or absorbing impact on an unstable wrist, and the tendons take the hit โ leading to inflammation, tightness, and eventually that sharp, stabbing wrist pain boxers know too well.
Itโs rarely โone momentโโฆ itโs the repetitive strain, the micro-tension, the small offsets in technique that build up over time.
The good news? With the right release work, strengthening and alignment, tendonitis responds incredibly well.
Prevention and early treatment always wins. ๐ช๐ฅ
