Please see the information on the original post shared by Walsh Funeral & Memorials. We are supporting their appeal to help Amelia receive birthday cards and show her just how loved she is. ❤

If you would like to send a birthday card, they can be posted to any of the following addresses:

📍 Highfield Primary School, Beeches Road, Rowley Regis, B65 0DA
📍 Leasowes High School, Kent Road, Halesowen, B62 8PJ
📍 Artisan Espresso Bar Ltd, 168 Halesowen Street, Blackheath, Rowley Regis, B65 0ES

In 2020, Amelia, a local girl, was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma. She bravely endured 23 months of intensive treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy and high-dose chemotherapy. After reaching a stable condition, her cancer sadly returned twice, even after taking part in clinical trials.

Amelia is now receiving palliative care, and we would love to help make this little girl’s dream come true. ❤

If you would like to help, please drop a birthday card off at any of our branches and we will make sure they are delivered.

Alternatively, cards can be sent to any of the following addresses:
📍 Highfield Primary School, Beeches Road, Rowley Regis, B65 0DA
📍 Leasowes High School, Kent Road, Halesowen, B62 8PJ
📍 Artisan Espresso Bar Ltd, 168 Halesowen Street, Blackheath, Rowley Regis, B65 0ES

Thank you so much for your kindness and support ❤

There are moments in our work that stay with us forever, and this is one of them.

To be entrusted by a family to care for both of their parents, at different times, is an honour we cannot put into words. Being chosen again, during such deeply emotional moments, speaks volumes about the trust placed in us something we will never take lightly.

Knowing that a family returned to Reflection Funeralcare when saying goodbye to another parent means more to us than they could ever know. It is a reminder of why we do what we do, and the responsibility we carry when supporting families through their most difficult days.

Thank you for the beautiful flowers, but more importantly, thank you for allowing us to care for your parents with dignity, compassion, and respect. We are truly grateful to have walked alongside your family during such tender times.

📮💌 We are proud to have created a Letters to Heaven post box here at Reflection Funeralcare 💌📮

Inspired by Gedling Crematorium and a beautiful idea shared by 9-year-old Matilda, this memorial post box offers a quiet space for reflection, remembrance and connection.

The Letters to Heaven post box is open to everyone in our community and the wider community, not just our clients. It is located inside our funeral home. You are welcome to call ahead to check we are open, or if the door is open, simply speak to a member of our team.

You may place letters, cards, drawings or photographs inside, whatever feels right for you.

Grief is experienced differently by everyone, and what brings comfort to one person may not work for another. Research has shown that memorial post boxes can help many people by providing a way to share thoughts and feelings, particularly on birthdays, anniversaries or other special occasions.

Please note, this post box is not owned or serviced by Royal Mail, so no stamp is required.

Any cards or letters placed into our memorial post box are treated with the utmost sensitivity and confidentiality. They are never opened or read

Happy New Year from all at Reflection Funeralcare 🤍

One of our youngest, Marilyn, recently shared a poem from Fox and the Moon – Seasons of Comfort and Hope by Stacey McNeill, offering gentle words of reflection and reassurance.

From all of us at Reflection Funeralcare, we wish our colleagues and the families we serve a peaceful New Year, filled with kindness, hope, and moments of light, even in the darker seasons. 🕊️ 💚

When someone dies, knowing where to begin can feel overwhelming. Many families worry about making the right choice, often at a time when thinking clearly is difficult.

A good place to start is simply with how a funeral director makes you feel. Do they listen? Do they explain things clearly, without pressure or urgency? Do they allow you the time you need to ask questions and take things one step at a time?

In the UK, you are free to choose any funeral director you wish, there is no obligation to use a particular one. Take a moment to speak with them, understand their approach, and trust your instincts. Compassion, transparency and care matter far more than quick decisions.

At Reflection, we believe choosing a funeral director should feel supportive, calm and personal from the very first conversation ✨
