Middle-Ear Infection Revealed in 9-Year-Old Post Ear Wax Removal using the WAXscope®️ 👂🦠🧒
This 9-year-old attended with hearing loss and discomfort, initially believed to be due to impacted ear wax.
After safely removing the wax using the WAXscope®️, I discovered signs of a middle-ear infection (otitis media) — including a dull, inflamed eardrum and visible middle-ear fluid.
Thanks to the WAXscope®️’s:
🔍 Crystal-clear magnification
🎯 Depth-focused optics
📹 HD video capture
…we were able to identify the underlying cause quickly and refer the child for appropriate treatment.
💡 Remember: Not all hearing loss is due to wax — sometimes, there’s more behind it.
