Harley House offers elderly residents the next best thing to home with the highest level of quality care. We offer respite, day care, or long term care. We have a dedicated staff team who pride themselves in putting residents’ personal preferences, wellbeing, independence and safety at the heart of everything that they do. Our Chefs can cater for all types of cuisine. The property has three levels, all offering comfortable, homely rooms. All rooms are tastefully decorated to enhance the cosy atmosphere of the home. We have a lovely patio and landscaped garden area where residents can sit in the garden.

🌺 Coming Together in Remembrance 🌺

At Harley House Care Home in Leicester, we took time to reflect, remember, and give thanks as we marked Remembrance Day.

Our residents created their own poppies, each one worn with pride in honour of those who served and sacrificed for our freedom. ❤️

We watched the parade together and joined in the national two-minute silence, a shared moment of gratitude and remembrance.

Honouring the bravery, courage, and lives that shaped the world we live in today.

Because some memories, and some heroes, should never be forgotten. 💚

🎃👻 Halloween Highlights from Harley House! 👻🎃

What a spook-tacular time we had celebrating Halloween at Harley House Care Home! From fancy dress and crafts, to plenty of laughs and sweet treats, our home was full of colour, creativity, and fun.

To finish off, our residents sat down for a showing of Hocus Pocus.

We love making birthdays extra special here at Harley House Care Home, with thoughtful touches, plenty of laughter, and a delicious homemade cake baked just for them, and they kindly shared it with everyone.

🌟 Resident Spotlight: Meet David! 🌟

We’ve got three Davids here at Harley House, all equally special, and today we’re shining the spotlight on one of them. 💚

Since joining our Harley House family in April, David has made quite an impression. He’s the first to get up and dance when Hannah from Boogie Beatz visits for our monthly chair exercises, always smiling, enthusiastic, and encouraging everyone to join in.

Before joining us, David was active in his local community and loved attending church. He worked as a skilled labourer and has always been hands-on, so it’s no surprise he still enjoys keeping busy.

These days, he’s our very own Alan Titchmarsh, helping in the garden, getting creative, taking part in activities, and never saying no to a bit of baking. A lifelong Liverpool fan, he loves watching old matches on YouTube (at least he knows whether to cheer or sigh!). ⚽

His positive energy and “give it a go” attitude make him loved by everyone.

“I like living at the home. I like to walk around and talk to everyone, it’s the people I like the most.”

That’s what Harley House is all about: connection, laughter, and care that truly feels like home. 💚

Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Shini Jose, your friendly neighbourhood nursing home manager, here to sprinkle smiles and share a few decades (okay, 28 years!) of nursing experience.

I joined this fantastic company as Harley House Care Home Manager back in April this year. I bring with me a toolkit full of NHS stories, a deep passion for quality care, and, yes, a slightly overused clipboard. Since 2020, I’ve been managing nursing homes, but before, I proudly wore many hats in the NHS, as a nurse, a Continuing Health Care Assessor, and even a stint with the Integrated Care Board. Safe to say, I’ve been around the care block a few times!

When I’m not buried under care plans or chasing down a printer that definitely did have paper five minutes ago, you’ll usually find me nose-deep in a book. Conspiracy theories, sci-fi, folklore, or a good ghost story, I love them all.

At home, I’m CEO of my little gang: mum to three grown-up kids (who like to remind me they’re the bosses now!) and wife to my wonderfully crazy husband who keeps life filled with laughter. I’m big on friends and even bigger on catch-ups, though scheduling one sometimes feels like planning a summit. Still, laughter, stories, and good company are non-negotiables for me.

Fun fact: I’m a trained Indian classical dancer. I took a break while raising my kids, but I’ve laced up my ghungroos again, creaky knees be damned. Some passions just never quit!

Oh, and if you hear someone call me Smiley, that’s me. I’ve been told I smile so much it’s become my personal brand. Not a bad thing in this line of work, right? Happy vibes = happy residents.

I’m so excited to continue this journey with you all, sharing stories, spreading smiles, and making every day count. 💚
