Christmas is a time for everyone. Unfortunately, the needs of the less abled are lost in the mix when making plans for the festive period.

When sketching out your Christmas plans with disabled or elderly family and friends, make time to consider the following:

🏠Venue - Is your venue, be it at home or out, fit for wheelchair users, people with alternative toiletry needs and the neurodivergent?
🕺Activities - Can everyone be included in your plans? Have you made provisions for those less physically able?
🛒Preparation - Christmas shopping is stressful enough as it is. Find out the quieter times and plan accordingly.
🍕Allergies - We all eat too much at Christmas, we must remember to eat the right things and consider what may be the wrong things for other people. Check requirements beforehand, just in case.
