If you have been to a class already, you will remember a pose named downward dog. This pose is one of the most frequently seen poses, especially online, which forms part of the traditional sun salutation which we have done in every class apart from last week.

…that we always have one nostril that has more dominant airflow than the other. It is probably more noticeable when your nose is blocked but one is always more dominant. This changes automatically every 0.5-4 hours.

Today I am going to give you the lowdown on how yoga helps circulation. When we breathe, oxygen is taken into the bloodstream and delivered around the body. Oxygen is what gives our cells life and it encourages cell renewal. Without good oxygen delivery around the body, that renewal gets stagnated.....

A lot has happened recently, we have moved from the community room to the Northman fitness room and can now officially begin with Saturday morning yoga. The classes are suitable for any level and the style taught is Hatha yoga. The class is from 9:30-10:30 and is pre booking to ensure we can allocate mats to everyone. Impromptu on the day arrivals paying cash are possible but it would be advisable to bring your own mat in the event of being fully booked on the day. One session is £6. Hope to see you there 😊
