Today, my sister and I tried out a different run club… which meant missing the usual park run!

We joined a Sweaty Betty x GAIL’s collaboration run, and it did not disappoint. A change of scenery, a lovely crowd, and a chance to get those feel good chemicals flowing… plus some goodies at the end certainly helped boost the mood! 🎁

Sometimes stepping outside your usual routine is all you need to reset, energise, and reconnect with yourself.

Stressed?

It’s a natural response, your body’s way of helping you deal with challenges. But when we stay stuck in stress for too long, it can start to affect our sleep, mood, focus, and even our physical health.

Hypnotherapy can help you find healthy outlets for stress, calm your mind, and empty that stress bucket before it overflows.

Today I went for a run in the rain 🌧️ not because it was ideal weather, but because the house next door is having renovations, and I could feel myself getting tense. The fresh air and movement helped me reset and let go of that built-up tension.

It’s a reminder that small actions, taken with intention, can make a big difference to how we feel.

On the bright side, laughter actually boosts memory!

When we laugh, our brain releases dopamine the same “feel-good” chemical that strengthens learning and memory connections. So maybe that questionable doodle wasn’t such a bad idea after all…

✨ Finding Me Again ✨

Recently, someone asked me: “What are you doing for you?”

It really stopped me in my tracks. My days were filled with focusing on others:

🐾 Overtime at the vets
🌀 Not giving my hypnotherapy business the attention it deserves
🏃 Training runs that felt more like marathon prep than joy
🏡 Caring for kittens and my boyfriend

I realised I was getting overwhelmed.

That question nudged me to be honest with myself. I began reframing instead of seeing these things as demands from others, I chose to recognise them as things I want to do and things I can do. (Reframing)

And when I shifted my perspective, I realised:
✨ I love helping clients at the vets
✨ I love caring for my kittens (and my partner!)
✨ I love running

But I also needed more me in my life. So I made space for:

🎨 Painting random art in my free time
💌 Messaging friends who light me up
🌱 Focusing on growing my hypnotherapy practice

Now that I’m back to finding myself again, I can show up as my best self for me, and for you. 💙

Where have I been?

It’s been a little quiet on here lately but I promise I’m still very much around and available for hypnotherapy sessions 💚

A few little updates:
🏃‍♀️ Training for a half marathon raising money for CALM (wish me luck!)
🧠 Had a great supervision session that’s keeping skills fresh and ideas flowing
🌐 My website is having a little downtime, but you can still reach me directly
🍫 Balancing runs with a generous slice (or two) of chocolate cake
🐾 Spending plenty of time with furry friends, of course
🕒 Clocking the odd bit of overtime at the vets too
💍 Went to a beautiful wedding
⛰️ Hiked up Snowdon!

Thanks for bearing with me! I’m looking forward to sharing more with you again soon.
