Last week, we had the honour of arranging a truly beautiful farewell for a much-loved lady. Her journey was carried by a horse-drawn hearse, guided by four graceful horses. A tribute filled with tradition and deep love.

As they moved gently along, there was a stillness in the air, the kind that speaks louder than words. A moment for reflection, for memories, and for the life that was so clearly cherished.

It is always a privilege to help create something so personal and meaningful. Every detail chosen with care, every step taken with respect.

Our arranging rooms are named in honour of the generations of the Dillamore family who have dedicated their lives to serving families in their time of need.

Each room carries the name of a man who helped shape the values our funeral service still stands by today:

• Frederick Dillamore – representing the earlier foundations of the family business.
• Samuel Dillamore – continuing the tradition of compassion and service.
• Richard Dillamore – our current Director, carrying the family legacy forward today.

When families sit in these rooms, they are surrounded by more than just quiet spaces for conversation. They are part of a long-standing tradition of dignity, care, and personal service that has been passed down through generations.

It’s a small way for us to honour the history of our family and the community we are privileged to serve. 🤍

Last week, we had the privilege of arranging a truly special farewell, including beautiful horses, Duke and Cosmo from Waldburg Shires

There is something incredibly moving about the quiet beauty of a horse-drawn carriage. It gently slows the moment, creating space to reflect, remember, and honour a life in such a deeply personal way.

At Dillamore Funeral Service, every detail matters. It was an honour to help create such a meaningful tribute for a lady whose love for shire horses was such an important part of her life.
