Did you know that Aranee is one of Bedfordshire’s best kept secrets? She has now completed her Women’s Health Osteopathy postgraduate diploma at the Molinari Institute of Health . She has limited appointments available as she also works in the NHS in the Perinatal Pelvic Health Service as a Physiotherapist and is helping to shape the service.

Hard work and perseverance can take you places you never imagined. Keep believing in yourself. 2024 has been a phenomenal year. Aranee wants to say a massive thank you to all her patients who have chosen to see her at Lotus Practice.

Aranee continues to study further and has a particular interest in complex pain and the interconnections to well-being. She understands how the mind and body can be interconnected and how both may need to be supported for optimal care. Aranee tries to do her best to follow a balanced lifestyle and teaches her patients the same.

Aranee Navaratnam is a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist.

“I started to work in Pelvic Health partly because I wanted to expand my knowledge in this field and I feel passionate about helping patients with their health and well-being holistically.

“Many patients did not realise that we existed as a service and some wished they had come many years ago.

“AHPs Day is day we can use to celebrate and create awareness about Allied Health Professionals and what we can do for the community.

“Patients need to also be aware that they are not alone, there is help and not to be afraid to find the help they need. There is no shame in getting the help you need.”

The power of the pause is so underrated. Remember to pause for your well-being. Pausing can be a powerful tool which can help us with reflection and giving more clarity in life.

Keep active no matter what the weather is like, too hot take water with you to help prevent dehydration and if it rains take a raincoat or an umbrella. Nothing needs to stop you from your well-being rituals. Do your best to help yourself and break those barriers hindering your well being. It is easier said than done. Exercise starts with simple consistent goals, for example trying not use a car, and walk instead or park further away purposely and use your legs as a means for transport. Exercise can help maintain better well being. Start with one simple goal, be consistent and then make it more challenging. You got this! Build on what you do each day and this way it can help increase your confidence and your physical and mental well being. It is a win win situation. Look after yourself!

Happy Earth Day!

Be conscious about the choices you make for yourself and the planet. In being conscious one can take steps to save our planet. This could be as simple as having vegan meals , reducing food bought which is packaged in plastic, recycling, planting trees, and putting water out for the birds and bees.

Aranee tries her best to help the planet and is vegan and gluten free. She also tries to use vegan shampoo and eco friendly vegan products where possible and has been vegan for about 9 years.

Aranee works in the clinic room within Natures Harvest. Natures harvest is a health store that do a lot for the planet too, such as having refillable shampoos in stock which are eco friendly , and also do a lot of recycling such as crisp packets and water filters. Do your best to take steps to help our planet.
