Windy says hard to believe about 45 years ago I'd be oot standing on the corner of Sydney Crescent waiting for Bayne's lorry coming round to pick up awe the tattie howkers

Absolutely back breaking work but the best days oh ma life . . . starting wae a half bit, then getting a full bit

Frozen fingers first thing. Rotten tatties. Back broken. Jam pieces and a bottle oh juice . . . and if you couldnae be fuked, a big stone in the digger so you got a wee rest . . . and if you were lucky, you'd maybe get a shift on the baskets

Dear Friends. The funeral of my son Garry will be held this coming Monday at Treswithian downs Crematorium at noon. On the day of his birthday the 11th of September he arrived at my house about 8.20 in the morning. Until he went home on back to his home in London he spent the week with me. We had the best time ever. On the Saturday night after a few drinks, Gaz came and sat beside me and told me that he loved me, and I told him that I loved him. We cuddled and I kissed him on the head. It was overwhelming. The following day we went for breakfast together. When he left to go back to London again we hugged each other. These are precious memories for me. And memories I don't want to lose. So because of this I have decided that I won't be attending his funeral on Monday. We had the best time ever and I don't want the time that we spent together shadowed my his funeral service. I have my faith. I'm not a believer in Heaven or Hell. But I have my faith and believe in spirit. If I didn't then I could not do my profession. Now I would like to thank my dear colleague Darren Saint for arranging my sons funeral with the greatest of care and dignity. I will be inturing my sons ashes on his grandparents grave at Marazion Cemetery. Love to you all. And I have been overwhelmed by the cards of sympathy and the phone calls. Garry xx
