Mental Health First Aid can be a heavy topic, so delivery matters.

Not every workplace needs everyone trained to Level 3.

In many organisations, the best approach is layered:
✅ Level 1 for general staff awareness
✅ Level 2 for supervisors and team leaders
✅ Level 3 for designated Mental Health First Aiders

We currently run Level 3 as an open course, but can deliver Level 1 and Level 2 as private group training, either at your site or at our training centre in Herefordshire.

What a week!!

We’ve just finished our 5-day Qualsafe FREC3 course, delivered as a private programme for Marches Ambulance Service Trainee First Responders.

The delegates have covered a lot this week, including:
✅ Scene safety + dynamic risk assessment
✅ Patient assessment and decision-making
✅ Catastrophic bleeding control
✅ Airway management + medical gases
✅ Cardiac arrest + AED skills
✅ Trauma + medical emergencies
…and plenty of teamwork under pressure!

The final part of the course was packed with realistic scenarios (like the ones in the photos), designed to replicate real patient contact and we finished the week with a larger incident exercise to tie everything together.

Great Day 1 of our 5-day Qualsafe FREC3 course! 🙌

This week we’re running a private course exclusively for Marches Ambulance Service Trainee First Responders, and today was a brilliant start.

Day 1 is all about laying the foundations, so we covered things like:

✅ What the FREC3 responder role really involves
✅ Scene safety + dynamic risk assessment
✅ Patient assessment principles
✅ Catastrophic bleeding control
✅ Airway management (yes, the practical bits too!)
✅ Medical gases

It’s a big week, but this is exactly how we build confident responders who are ready to step into real-world situations safely, professionally, and with the right support behind them.

Roll on Day 2… and probably a lot more coffee ☕😅
