Join Our Team – Clinic Receptionist (Permanent Position)

Leominster Osteopaths & Therapies Clinic is looking for a friendly, professional part-time receptionist to join our team.

Days: Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays
Hours: 9am–1pm, 2–5pm (late shift until 7pm on Wednesdays)
Hourly Rate: National minimum wage
Flexibility: Some cover required for illness/holidays
Closing Date: Wednesday 11 December
Interviews: Before Christmas, with a view to starting in January

Key Responsibilities

- Welcoming patients and managing bookings
- Answering calls, handling enquiries, and directing them to the appropriate practitioners
- Supporting the clinic team and maintaining a clean, organised reception area
- Managing the clinic diary and ensuring smooth appointment scheduling
- Processing payments and keeping patient records accurate and up to date
- Monitoring and responding to emails and social media messages
- Opening and closing the clinic, ensuring security and safety procedures are followed

Skills Required

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence using computer-based booking systems
- A friendly, professional, patient-centred approach
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly, especially when supporting anxious or unwell patients
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and assist with covering shifts when required
- Strong time management skills to help keep the clinic running smoothly

Such a busy week.

As many of you will know my baby boy Frank died in 2021. He was just 13 when he died and when I get my hands on him again (eventually) there will be hell to pay!

BMF is a named fund of Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust. We provide grants and further support to every single childhood cancer family in Herefordshire, Powys and 4 further surrounding counties.

Recent fundraising has been epic. Is it ok to say I’m actually proud of that boy the other side of the stars? Too late, I said it. And I meant it.

A few weeks ago Chandan Babra and her team at Leominster Osteopaths & Therapies Clinic raised £1350.

Last weekend was an epic Strictly Come Dancing event over in Powys, totals are being calculated but it’s very much north of £10k.

Yesterday we collected a cheque from a Hereford organisation for £3333.

Today I had a meeting with a just gorgeous couple who have pledged, via their company, to donate £10k.

Tonight we’re at a networking ‘do’ with another whoppingly successful local company who will be running their annual charity day in the spring for us. I’ll talk more about all of this in the coming weeks.

I’m not sure how to feel. I mean, he’s still dead. The Mum in me still mourns, and always will. But given that is the situation regardless of my mourning, sulking and tears, I’ve said it before, I always knew that boy would change the world and despite being diagnosed at the tender age of 11, errr helloooo? Well done Franklyn you’re bloody lovely.

Be More Frank provides grants and support to the families of every child with cancer in Herefordshire and five surrounding counties, in honour of the wonderful Frank, who died in 2021 aged 13.
