Practising to march while lying down is a powerful and safe way to prepare the body for walking. There is no fear of falling, less stiffness, and more freedom to focus on the ‘how’ of the movement. Stepping this way, also slows the movement down, giving the nervous system time to re-map good walking patterns. An indoor snowball fight with soft, fake snowballs is a great way for people with to get moving. It encourages bigger movements, raises heart rate, boosts coordination and balance, and most importantly brings laughter and connection. Staying active, social, and playful is all part of group sessions.

We made agamograph pictures! An agamograph is a kinetic art form where two or more images appear to change or "morph" as we move. We achieved this effect by colouring two pictures on one sheet of paper separated into vertical strips of equal width, then folded.
This is great for improving perception, thinking skills and fine manipulation.

Cognitive movement strategies form
an important part of sessions for adults with Utilising these in daily life is significant to increase control, autonomy and dignity.

Here participants are learning to get into a kneeling position and stand up again in a co-ordinated way. This technique can be used when tying shoelaces, loading the washing machine or getting up after a fall.
