True organic candles are hard to come by...

When I discovered , I knew we needed to add them to our clinic shop 🤍

Handcrafted in Yorkshire, these are the UK’s first certified organic candles – made in small batches using certified organic beeswax, organic essential oils, and organic cotton wicks.

Every candle is Soil Association certified, which means the beeswax comes from hives surrounded by pesticide-free landscapes, at least 6km away from main roads and waste sites. No synthetic additives and no shortcuts.

Ally’s been searching for candles like these for over 8 years, and we finally found them. We’re all about supporting businesses that share our values, but it’s even better that they’re a local Yorkshire business too!

By popular demand – We are so excited to announce that we will be stocking Bon Charge toothbrushes in the next coming weeks! 🪥

So many of you have been asking about what toothbrush we recommend, and we’re thrilled to share that we’ve now found the perfect solution.

Calming colours 🌿

After many years in the dental field, we’ve met countless people who feel anxious or fearful about visiting the dentist. You’re not alone, and we’ve always believed that your environment plays a big role in how you feel.

As a holistic dentist, our goal from day one has been to create a space where you feel calm, supported, and safe. We know a visit to us is about so much more than your teeth, it’s about your mind, body, and overall experience.

That’s why we’ve made thoughtful changes to our clinic to help ease nerves and create a sense of comfort. One of the biggest elements is colour.

You’ll notice calming green tones throughout the space. Green is known for its soothing, balancing effect and many of our patients have told us it helps them feel more at ease the moment they walk in.

We have the very best lasers at our clinic, which we use to treat and heal gum tissues, i.e. periodontal disease. 🦷

We have three types of lasers at our clinic to help treat periodontal disease.

🌱 Diode laser, which has bactericidal capabilities and can be used for adjunctive periodontal procedures. This laser is amazing for:
– Faster healing and tissue regeneration, preservation of more of the natural tooth, reduced bleeding during and after treatment, reduced need for anaesthesia, stitches and suctures, and reduced risk of bacterial infections after procedures

🌱 Waterlase laser, which uses laser energy and water to remove damaged tissue from teeth and gums. Benefits of Waterlase lasers include:
– Accurate and precise, which can reduce the risk of mistakes and complications, faster healing to help teeth and gums heal faster, less trauma to teeth and gums. less or no anaesthetic for many procedures and no heat, vibration or pressure associated with dental drills

🌱 Co2 Laser, which uses a highly focused beam of light energy to precisely remove soft gum and connective tissue perfect for oral surgery, tongue and lip tie procedures. The benefits of this laser are:

Welcome back to Simple Swaps 💚

Today’s swap is: Toothbrush tongue cleaning 🔄 Copper tongue scraper

Our front of house team is growing! 💚

We’re thrilled to welcome a few new faces to our reception team – Lynne, Rebecca and Bella! You’ll be seeing them when you visit, ready to greet you with warm smiles and help with all your appointment needs.

And some exciting news about a familiar face – many of you will already know Faz, who’s been with us since before we even opened our doors, back when it was Cote Royd! She’s now embarking on a new journey as an apprentice dental nurse. We’re so proud of her and can’t wait to see her flourish in this new role 🌱
