And breathe… 😅 what a week it’s been!

Our three lovely lady goats have all kidded — each with triplets — all safely delivered and absolutely thriving. That’s 7 girls and 2 boys keeping us on our toes already 🐐💕

The chaos has officially begun… tiny hooves everywhere, climbing, jumping, and launching themselves off anything they can find!

And just in time, the sun has finally decided to show up too ☀️ — perfect for a field full of happy, bouncy kids.

After flying off the shelves (or should we say… waddling? 🦆), our duck eggs have been restocked and are back on the egg stand today!

Busy morning here on the smallholding!

Our lovely Vanilla delivered triplets this morning and she’s looking rather pleased with herself — and quite right too 😍

Nothing quite says spring is on the way like new babies arriving on the smallholding. The fields are waking up and everything is starting to feel full of life again 🤗

Now we need to decide on names for the little trio…

📢 Breaking news from the hen house…🥚🥚

The new point-of-lay girls have tentatively started laying! 🎉

They’re not quite matching the OG hens’ gold-standard egg production just yet… but they’re clearly trying their best 🤣🥚

Early days ladies… the old guard is still showing you how it’s done! 🐓

Freshly baked cheese & wild garlic scones 🧀... made with wild garlic and duck eggs from the smallholding.
Still warm, butter melting… and a spoonful of homemade caramelised onion chutney.
Simple food done properly.

Fresh duck eggs on the stand today 🦆🥚

Laid by our neighbouring smallholder’s wonderful Aylesbury ducks, these beauties are packed full of goodness and absolutely perfect for baking.

If you’ve never tried baking with duck eggs before, you’re in for a treat — they make cakes richer, fluffier, and downright delicious.

Pop by the stand while they last!
