FREE animation and cookery workshops for eligible children this Winter holidays!

Ever wanted to make your own animation? You have come to the right place! Our workshops teach children how to make short animations, including operating cameras, using animation software/ computers and recording sounds.��In addition to animation. Lucie from Feel Good Food provides 20 mins of fun cookery activities for children. A yummy FREE hot lunch is also provided! We have experienced staff who work with SEND young people at the workshops! Please book a SEND space in this instance.

We are running 2 days of spooky-themed animation workshops this Oct half term in Lewes at the Railway Land; ages 7 upwards.

Dates: 27, 28 Oct 10am till 3.30pm
Day 1: Create a spooky Lego small world and then animate it.
Day 2: Design and make a Halloween inspired character using clay and wire armatures and then bring it to life.
Prices: £45 a day. We also have some concession rates available for families.

Press Play Films (PPF) (www.pressplayfilms.co.uk) is recruiting for a new board of advisors. Could this be you or someone you know?

PPF was established in 2016 and is now at a point of change and growth as it extends and diversifies the young people it reaches and the digital /animation technologies it teaches, across Sussex.

We are seeking four new advisors to join at this exciting moment as we:

Plan and organise growth across Sussex

Extend the digital technologies they teach into new areas including music, coding and AI

Rebrand and relaunch (including developing a new website and new social media channels)

We would love to hear from you if you are someone keen to support the running of a local C.I.C, to learn about youth work and how digital media/animation production can best support vulnerable young people and local communities. We plan to will meet 3 times annually in year one and the role may take 6 to 9 days of your time. For an informal chat or application pack please email lara@pressplayfilms.co.uk . Have you ever wanted to make your own Lego or clay animation film? Think Wallace and Gromit!

Hosted by Press Play Films who teach children how to produce clay models, and operate digital cameras and animation software on laptops. At the end of the day we will have a screening premiere with parents and siblings and children are sent their films to keep and share.

Feel Good Food will run a cookery session and will provide a delicious hot, yummy lunch each day. Allergies, intolerances and special diets can be catered for on request (vegetarian/ gluten/dairy-free options provided).
Cooking activity example - making mulled juices and flavoured popcorn cones.
After lunch, we will head outside for some games and a play in the park!
