🌳Time for a spring tidy up and replant at - all of the spiky old shrubs have been dug out of this big border by our front door, and now we can plant something with a bit of colour! Our proprietor is always looking for ways to improve our lovely home.

🍀It’s at ! Have you bought your raffle tickets for our grand Easter draw yet? Our giant egg is stuffed to the brim with Easter goodies - a real treat. Tickets cost just £1 for a strip of 5, and proceeds will go toward a treat for all our residents. This competition is open to all our residents, families, visiting professionals, staff & visiting friends. Please do come and have a go! See Kate or the main office to buy your tickets…the winner will be drawn on Tuesday 7th April.

😋🍽️🍳Friday is day at . Some weeks that’s traditional battered fish, or a fish cake, or fish pie… but this week it’s the simple pleasure of fish fingers, chips & beans! This is such a popular meal with residents 😬. There was also the choice of sausage, egg & chips, and for dessert a sherry trifle. Delicious! What would you choose?

🏠💗🍷A glass of wine, or a sherry before lunch is now on the menu at ! Residents who wish to have a small tipple will be offered this treat twice weekly. We are proud of our homely atmosphere at Lime Tree House, so a glass of wine with your main meal fits right in… resident Cyril is clearly appreciative 🥰.

🎵🥰🎶We LOVE our visits from Dementia Singing Experience, Sussex at ! This month Helen had a variety of themes - we covered and spring in general! Everyone had a LOT of fun, and joined in with the singing and fun props - even our Manager Stacey came to join in! Singing is a powerful tool when working with those on the dementia pathway, as these sessions show.

🐇🍫🥚✝️ Have you bought your tickets yet!?! Only 3 weeks until we draw the winner of the fabulous Easter raffle! 💗🏠 celebrated in style this weekend with a lovely afternoon of family visits, helped along by a cream tea (all home made, of course!) for all. It was a beautiful sunny day; our activities coordinator Kate put up the bunting, picked fresh flowers for vases, and served everyone their cream tea. Hoping all you mums out there were spoilt and enjoyed the company of your families….

😋🍽️Delicious Thursday menu at today, as ever. Residents chose between cottage pie or quiche Lorraine, with poached peaches with cream for dessert. Real comfort food for a dull spring day 🥰. We are proud of our person centred care at Lime Tree, so of course chef caters for all; there were sweet potatoes as an alternative today, and requests for ice cream for pudding!

😋🍫🥣 marked with the seasonal favourite…. chocolate nest cakes! Residents enjoyed this simple bake (very dementia friendly); it’s a great way to make humble puffed rice taste delicious! There was some great team work going on, and as ever we all chatted as we baked. Resident Sheila said “it tastes chocolatey & delicious!”

🐇🥚It’s at again! This week sees the start of our Easter raffle - we have a GIANT egg full of lovely Easter goodies for you to win. Tickets will be sold at £1 a strip, and we will draw the winner after Easter. (On Tuesday 7th April). This competition is open to all, so if you visit, are friends, staff, family, resident or professional, please do come and have a go! Funds raised will go towards a special treat for the residents.
