Sabrina has been working as a Hair, Wigs and Make-Up Artist for over 11 years within Theatre and Film. Sabrina’s theatre career highlights Include working as Deputy Head of Wigs, Hair & Make Up on Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and being part of the opening team as Deputy Head of Wigs/Hair & Make-Up of both Kinky Boots London and Shakespeare in Love. Sabrina provides her clients with a personalised service that takes into consideration their skincare, health and artistic desires. She has had an extremely diverse career and client list and is confident working on anything from a natural bridal look in Tuscany, to hedonistic drag shows at private parties in London. Sabrina's client list is equally impressive, and she is comfortable working with A List or UHNW individuals. Sabrina also offers a restorative brow tattoo (Microblading) service based in either Hove or Lewes by appointment.

Welcoming to the SHY team!

Holly brings 17 years of clinical nursing experience into a skin-first, regenerative approach to injectable treatments. Her focus is on improving hydration, texture and overall skin health using skin boosters. No fillers, no overcorrection, just long-term skin vitality.

She has limited availability this week before Christmas, plus appointments on Saturday 27th December and New Year’s Eve.

Single sessions are available, or you can book a course of treatments if you’re looking for more progressive, longer-lasting results.

Some pieces (including select solid gold piercing jewellery) are online exclusives, while we also have a beautiful selection available in store.

Welcome to all of our new followers! SHY is a studio for beauty, wellness, adornment and community on Lewes High Street. A space shaped by the artists and therapists who bring their work to life here.

The studio feels especially wonderful at this time of year. Our resident artists and therapists have slightly adjusted their usual schedules and added extra availability to support the festive season. Appointments tend to fill quickly, so if you are hoping to visit us this month, now is a good moment to book in.

SHY online is now live. We will continue adding to the store over the next few weeks - we love to rotate brands to include all our favourites!

We have our curated edit of body jewellery now available as a pre-order service online. We stock Buddha, Junipurr and BVLA. If you are looking for a specific piece, please get in touch and we can order in custom items for you or your loved one.

We are open late tonight! There are discounts on select items in store, a prize draw for everyone that shops with us and a small number of piercing appointments available.

One of our most requested additions is finally here.
Pedicures, waxing and threading are now available at SHY.

We’re very pleased to welcome Koko to the studio. Her approach is calm, attentive and centred on the health and comfort of the skin. She offers hot wax, threading and pedicure treatments using The Gel Bottle, with Elim medical pedicures arriving in January.

Appointments are now live, and Koko is ready to welcome you into the studio.

If you’ve been in the studio recently, you’ll know the calm Aye brings with her. Today we are sharing a little Q&A about her practice.

Aye’s approach is thoughtful, grounding and very in tune with how the body holds stress. She works gently but with intention, the kind of treatment that resets your whole week.

She’s with us every Wednesday for acupuncture.

Happy Birthday SHY!

A year of early mornings, late nights, broken things, fixed things, and everything in between.

Mostly though...it’s been a year of people.
Of the artists, therapists and guest creatives who’ve filled SHY with so much talent and care.
Of everyone who’s trusted us for lashes, brows, makeup, piercings, tattoos, nails, massage, facials, and acupuncture.
Of those who’ve joined our workshops, hosted events, shopped our store, or simply stopped by to say hi.

Being part of Lewes High Street is a privilege — and running SHY has been the greatest education in resilience, creativity and community.

Sometimes I wish there was a space to share what really goes on behind the scenes…
Let’s just say BT, Southern Water and the police have all been super supportive this year 😂
