So, on Wednesday 3rd of December, we started the festivities with our team dressed as elves for ‘Elf Day’. This is an annual event at the home, and the team never cease to amaze. We do this for fun, bringing laughs and smiles to our residents plus we get chance to let our hair down and act in a silly but professional manner for the day. The residents all joined in with elf hats, and we spent the day singing and dancing, bringing a festive and bright ambience to the home 🎄.
3pm came, and it was time to start the party! Another annual event (that we started last year 😉), where we invite relatives, the local community, and local professionals into the home for a fun and food filled afternoon. Same as last year, Foundry Healthcare Lewes represented by Julie Barnett, Michelle Whatford, and Jenny Martin, did us the grand honour of switching on our Christmas lights and officially starting the festive period at Parris Lawn Care Home.
Our chefs created a wonderful mini buffet, accompanied with mulled wine and mince pies for our guests to enjoy whilst they socialised with our residents and other attendees of the event. As you can see from our photos, the Festive High Tea at 3 looked as beautiful and as tasty as ever! Fair to say that no one ate dinner when they got home! Vivien and Simona (our Wellbeing Team) created some truly festive trolleys worthy of such a spread.
At 4pm, after a short thank you speech to those attending from Home Manager Costin, Jesse our Customer Relationship Manager begun the countdown to the big reveal! The ladies from Foundry were ready and did a fantastic job after having zero rehearsals for the big moment 😆. A massive well done to John our SMO and Sharon our Head Housekeeper for the work they put in to making sure the lights were up, fully effective, and ready for the big moment. Great job!
Well done to our amazing and selfless team for creating and producing an all-round wonderful day. Christmas is up and running at Parris Lawn Care Home 🫶!
