I have been working as a children's speech and language therapist for over 11 years. I have worked with children with a range of speech, language and communication needs. I offer online therapy ad raining services nationwide. For face to face appointments I now cover Leyburn and surrounding areas. If you have concerns about your child's speech, language and communication development please send me a message or email and we can arrange a free 15 minute telephone consultation. My aim is to provide parents, carers and educators with information and tools to recognise, implement and support effective communication.

It's been a while since I introduced myself!
Here is an updated picture of me and my family and a little reminder of who I am, where I am and what I do.

❓WHO❓ Hayley.
❓WHERE❓I have a clinic room in Leyburn, North Yorkshire (based in Hopper's Estate agents)
❓WHAT❓I work with children with speech, language and communication needs. I have a special interest in working with early language development, stammering and speech sound difficulties. I also deliver training to parents and professionals.

Sometimes I have to turn families away as the needs of their child are outside of my skill set. I do not like doing this...

Sometimes I have to turn families away as the needs of their child are outside of my skill set. I do not like doing this but I have a professional obligation to work within my skill set.
I will always try to support families to find a therapist or another service with the skills required but please make sure when paying for a private SLT that they have the knowledge and skills required to support your child.

We all complete training as part of our continued professional development, however the field of speech and language therapy is vast and no one Therapist can know it all (something I have to remind myself daily when I feel the guilt of not being able to answer all the questions!)
