Thank you so much to everyone who donated towards Lucille doing the Great North Run for Myeloma UK.

She successfully compeleted the half marathon in an incredible 2 hours 38 minutes!

In total she raised an amazing £3,306!

To celebrate 50 years of Day Lewis Pharmacy we are hosting a charity week this week!
Our chosen charity is Myeloma UK. Lucille is running the Great North Run on the 7th of September this year in aid of Myeloma. Myeloma is a charity which have greatly helped to support Lucille’s husband Rob, who was diagnosed with Myeloma in May 2022.
To help raise money we are having a sweepstake to guess how long it will take Lucille to finish the Great North Run! Suggested donations are £2 minimum. The person with the closest guess we will win the hamper. A special thanks to Milners - Ladies Clothing, Interiors and Haberdashery in Leyburn for a generous £50 gift card donation. Winner will be announced Monday 8th September 2025!

Save our pharmacies campaign👩🏽‍⚕️

You might notice that our staff are wearing black today, in line with the campaign, to signify the loss of pharmacies in communities.

Community pharmacies are going through the worst crisis in living memory‼️

•1,400 community pharmacies have closed in the last decade.
•10 pharmacies are closing per week, and 75% of pharmacies are in the red.

We’re asking you to back our campaign to help keep pharmacies open.

The NPA are issuing an invoice for £108million per month to the Department for Health and Social Care to accommodate for the underfunding of community pharmacies across England.

As the representative organisation for independent community pharmacies in the UK, the NPA are calling on the Government to fund pharmacies properly for the vital work they do for their communities.

The pharmacist will be on their lunch break everyday between 1:30pm & 2:00pm

During this time we are unable to hand out any prescriptions and sell any pharmacy restricted products.

This includes prescription that are already available for collection.

If you are needing your prescription or wanting to buy any medication please avoid coming between these hours.
