Flu cases are rising earlier than usual, and this could be one of the worst flu seasons in a decade. The NHS has issued a flu SOS, and we’re making it easier than ever for eligible people to get protected before Christmas.
It takes two weeks for the vaccine to become fully effective, so don’t wait, get your jab now and enjoy the festive fun with peace of mind!

🚨 Important Update from Fishergate Hill Surgery 🚨

From Monday 8th September, we’re changing how you access GP appointments. We’re introducing a 'Total Triage' system – this means all GP appointment requests will need to be reviewed first by a clinician. You’ll no longer be able to book a GP appointment directly.

✅ Speak to our team who can complete a request form with you

We’ll review your needs and respond with the right care option.

📅 Please note: Reception will NOT be able to pre-book GP appointments for the week starting 8th September onwards.

This is a safe, non-judgmental, free space where attendees can share how they’re feeling and connect with others who truly understand. It’s run by trained volunteer, Amalia, who has had lived experience of perinatal mental health difficulties, supported by the national charity PANDAS Foundation UK.

The existing group at Penwortham Golf Club will still continue and will be renamed Preston South.
