Meet Mary… aka “Mardog” 🐶 (a nickname lovingly created by Nathan, who clearly thought he was being hilarious at the time).

Let’s rewind to 2019 — the early days. Back when we were so busy being superheroes for our clients that we may have slightly… accidentally… totally… let compliance fall off a cliff.

Enter Mary.

Clipboard in hand.
Highlighter ready.
Probably shaking her head.

Mary didn’t just help us — she quite literally saved us. While we were out there caring with our whole hearts, Mary was behind the scenes making sure we didn’t get lovingly escorted into regulatory oblivion. She brought order to the chaos, structure to the madness, and policies to places we didn’t even know needed policies.

Fast forward to today and she’s still doing it. Still keeping us sharp. Still making sure we’re ahead of the game. Still spotting the tiny details the rest of us would absolutely miss.

But here’s the thing…

Mary isn’t just “our compliance consultant” anymore.

She’s family.
She’s a friend.
She’s part of Executive Carers’ DNA.

She’s been with us through growth, stress, late-night panics, last-minute audits, and all the “it’ll be fine” moments that absolutely were not fine. And through it all, she’s been calm, loyal, supportive, and quietly brilliant.

Executive Carers wouldn’t be what it is today without her. That’s not dramatic — that’s fact.

So Mary (Mardog 🐾)…

We’re hugely grateful for everything you did for us back then, and everything you still do now. Thank you for saving us, guiding us, supporting us, and for sticking by us.

We honestly wouldn’t change you for the world.

Even if we might change the nickname. 💙

Meet Bethany & Nathan – aka Sara’s children… or should we say her minions? 😏

Let’s rewind to where it all began…

The Year: 2019

Picture this. Sara’s sat on the sofa at home, head in her hands saying, “Arhhh these rotas!”

Nathan, full of confidence and clearly unaware of what he was volunteering for, replies,
“It can’t be that hard… let me have a look.”

And just like that… everything changed.

By 9am the very next morning, Nathan was in the office. What started as a quick favour turned into a full-time responsibility — and before he knew it, he had officially become Rota Coordinator.

But Nathan didn’t just “do” the rotas. He took ownership. He organised, streamlined, and built structure. He improved communication, strengthened systems, and brought a calm head to what can sometimes be a very fast-paced environment.

As time went on, he built a strong and positive relationship with the local council, helping strengthen partnerships and ensure everything ran smoothly. His confidence grew, his ideas grew even bigger, and he soon stepped into recruitment — helping bring new talent into the business and shaping the team for the future.

Fast forward to today, and Nathan is now our Business Development Manager 👏

He’s focused on growth, opportunities, new partnerships, and pushing the business forward. Always thinking ahead, always full of ideas, and always looking at the bigger picture — not bad for someone who just wanted to “have a look” at the rotas!

Now… let’s talk about Bethany.

Our Accounts Manager didn’t start her journey in the office. Beths started where many of our team do — out in the field. She worked 6 days a week… sometimes even 7. Long shifts, early mornings, late finishes — she’s done it all.

That experience gave her something invaluable: real understanding. She knows the service inside out because she’s delivered it herself.

Over time, Bethany began taking an interest in the accounts side of the business. The organisation, the numbers, the behind-the-scenes running of everything — it caught her attention. She asked questions, learned bit by bit, and showed genuine interest in developing her skills.

When the opportunity came up to move into the office as Accounts Manager, she grabbed it with both hands. And she hasn’t looked back since.

Beth brings the same work ethic and dedication into accounts that she had in the field. She understands the staff, understands the pressures, and balances that perfectly with keeping everything financially on track.

And she’s not stopping there… Bethany is currently studying towards her Level 4 AAT qualification at college 📚👏

Committed to learning, growing, and developing herself even further — because average just isn’t her style.

From sofa conversations to leadership roles…

Bethany and Nathan are a huge part of the heart, drive, and future of Executive Carers 💙

Started from the field and the sofa… now they’re helping lead the way.

Watch this space — they’re only just getting started. 🚀

Meet Louise 👋

Louise joined us in 2022… and honestly?
It was manic. And we’re not even going to pretend it wasn’t 😅

We knew we needed a Louise in the business — someone calm, organised, and able to bring a bit of structure to the chaos. Thankfully, she walked through the door… and now it’s padlocked. Sara’s hidden the key and she’s not going anywhere 🔐😂

Louise is our Quality & Compliance Manager…
and also our Head of Tea Making Operations ☕ (a very important title around here).

She has a real passion for the care industry and is always making sure everyone is up to date, compliant, organised and on track. She doesn’t just “do the job” — she genuinely cares about doing it properly.

Now, we say she’s not your typical 9–5 Monday to Friday person…
She’s more of a 9:17am to 5pm kind of lady (yes, she was late this week and we’re not letting it go 🤭).

Jokes aside — Louise wouldn’t think twice about opening her laptop at 10pm if something needed sorting. And if there was ever a client call that needed attending? She’d likely be the first one in the car.

Dedicated, dependable, and slightly too good at making tea — we’d be lost without her!

Meet the Boss… and Her Dogs

Sara founded Executive Carers Ltd in October 2020. But where did it all begin — and why?

The story really started in 2018, shortly after the heartbreaking loss of her stepdad. During that difficult time, Sara saw first-hand the realities of the care industry — the good, the bad, and the parts that desperately needed to change.

She knew something had to be better.

Not just for clients receiving care, but for the carers delivering it every single day.

Sara quickly recognised a problem: too often, care staff were treated like numbers instead of people. When carers feel undervalued, unsupported, and unheard, that negativity doesn’t just disappear — it inevitably filters down to the people who matter most: the clients.

So she made a decision.

Instead of sitting behind a desk giving orders, she went out into the field herself.

For 365 days straight, Sara delivered care on the front line.

Why?

Because it’s easy to manage from a distance. It’s much harder — and far more meaningful — to truly understand what the job demands physically, emotionally, and mentally. Sara wanted to experience exactly what carers go through, so she could build a company that genuinely supports them.

Executive Carers Ltd wasn’t created to be just another care provider.

It was built with empathy. With understanding. With lived experience.

And that’s what makes the difference.

Now.

Let’s discuss the other members of the executive team.

The two office dogs.

Currently serving a two-year ban from the premises.

According to Staffordshire Police, the crimes committed include:
• Stealing food
• Fighting in a public place (with each other)
• Shouting at each other (also known as barking… aggressively)
• General disorderly conduct
• Possession of suspicious crumbs

The list, apparently, goes on.

After standing before the Crown Court (also known as the kitchen doorway), both defendants were found guilty and sentenced to a two-year office ban.

We managed to get a statement from one of the accused, Doggert.

His official comment:

“Bark bark woof woof.”

Translation:

“I don’t really care about being banned from the office. I just want food.”

No remorse. No accountability. Just vibes.

Despite their criminal records, they remain valued members of the team — albeit remotely.

And while Sara continues to lead Executive Carers with integrity, compassion and real-world experience…

The dogs continue their rehabilitation programme.

Mostly near the biscuit cupboard.

Justice has been served.
Unlike the food they stole. 🐶

Our office snack & hot drink station is always ready — because caring for our staff matters 💙

And since it’s Friday… that means it’s Sara’s turn to restock the snacks 😄

Sadly, one of our clients passed away just before Christmas. Recently, his wife and family visited our office and brought with them this incredibly thoughtful card.

Nathan took the time to sit with them and have a chat, during which they shared something truly touching:

“If Bill had gone with anyone else, we don’t think he would have lasted as long as he did.”

Hearing words like that from a wife and family is deeply moving and a true reminder of the difference our carers make every single day. It brings a genuine smile to know just how much our team’s dedication, compassion, and professionalism mean to the people we support.

At Executive Carers, caring for our clients doesn’t end when life does. Nathan has offered his continued support to Bill’s family should they ever need it—because for us, it’s always about more than care; it’s about relationships.

This is exactly the kind of connection Executive Carers is proud to have with every client and family we support.
