I feel pretty strongly about this, can you tell? 😤😂 expecting a woman to talk openly (or have the courage to say “this feels wrong”) when they’ve already experienced boundary violations as well as thousands of years of s*xual violence and shame etched into their bones, can be so harmful and even retraumatising, perpetuating the cycle of shame. I am ALL FOR s*xuality work and the power of it! Omg it is LIBERATING. But f**k, it needs gentleness, time, a ton of skill and often permission to not even feel s*xual initially. As for those of you that don’t know, s*xuality is not actually just about s*x! We absolutely need to feel the safety deep within our bones to go into this, not just cognitively. So for any woman out there feeling, not just in therapy, but in life shame around not be able to talk about s*x openly, I HEAR you, I SEE you, you are definitely not alone. What do you think? I’d love to hear your thoughts (if you feel safe enough to ♥️🙏🏼) *xuality
