I tried this multiple times. It didn’t work. You cant keep regulating what doesn’t need regulating. Your body will keep getting your attention until you listen to her fully. Connecting the narrative to the full bodied lived experience allows us to finally move with our body, instead of always feeling we are having to correct it. If you want to see how I can help guide you back to your body, get in touch ✨ link in bio

I feel pretty strongly about this, can you tell? 😤😂 expecting a woman to talk openly (or have the courage to say “this feels wrong”) when they’ve already experienced boundary violations as well as thousands of years of s*xual violence and shame etched into their bones, can be so harmful and even retraumatising, perpetuating the cycle of shame. I am ALL FOR s*xuality work and the power of it! Omg it is LIBERATING. But f**k, it needs gentleness, time, a ton of skill and often permission to not even feel s*xual initially. As for those of you that don’t know, s*xuality is not actually just about s*x! We absolutely need to feel the safety deep within our bones to go into this, not just cognitively. So for any woman out there feeling, not just in therapy, but in life shame around not be able to talk about s*x openly, I HEAR you, I SEE you, you are definitely not alone. What do you think? I’d love to hear your thoughts (if you feel safe enough to ♥️🙏🏼) *xuality

Let your body be its own anchor in times of wildness.

It doesn’t have to be so rough. You don’t have to white knuckle it. You can become your own anchor.

A little reflection post session. This session stirred and settled so much from deep within that had previously been stuck in narrative. There’s a huge difference between cognitively being aware of patterns and feeling into them. Becoming aware of the subtle shifts that go on inside as your body processes and digests new information and experiences, like giving your body the compassion it always needed. This is how we can start to move through life within our body, moving with our own intuition instead of constantly disconnected and over thinking everything and relying on others opinions or approval. The first step is always to build in more safety and pleasure into your system to be able to safely hold and digest the pain. This work is real life alchemy. Thank you ♥️

🌕Despite what Hugh Grant initally states in about a boy, we are not islands. The world we live in promotes isolation. Promotes an idea that we should be able to do it alone. It is complete BS and IMHO a way to continue to do unspeakable awful things to this world and our people without too much uproar 🤮💔😭
💫But our nervous systems are wired for connection. To ourselves, to others, to the world. We cannot heal alone. We cannot live fully alone. And neither can we heal without recognition of the part we play within it all.
Attachment trauma may have wounded our feeling of safety in connection but the most incredible thing about this is, we are also wired for self healing. Meaning we can relearn safety within our body, towards other bodies, towards the world.
🌎 But we cannot chose which parts we want to accept. We need to a find a way to make relationship to all parts of ourself, the world and others: the dark and light. We might not always like what we find. But it is in finding all of this that we find our way back home to wholeness, to power, to the mystical wonderousness this world has to offer. There are horrific things going on in the world, it is our responsibly to be the voice, the rage, the drive towards a better future

You don’t have to spend your life feeling alone, resentful of others experiencing love, or feeling half full. There’s a way to let love in. And it’s beyond incredible 🧡
