We’re looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Community team.

In this role, you will:
✔️ Provide holistic palliative and end-of-life care at home as part of our community services.
✔️ Deliver flexible personal, clinical, and emotional support under professional supervision.
✔️ Work mainly in the community, support in-patient units when needed, and hold a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.

Instead of taking part in Secret Santa this year, our kind-hearted Community colleagues have supported 's 'Delivering Joy' campaign 🎁

They've each picked up a tag and packaged up a gift, which will be returned to Dunelm to deliver to local schools, care homes and refuges - delivering joy to people who might otherwise go without this Christmas.

We're so proud of our team for supporting our wider community in this way, whilst continuing to visit patients to bring comfort, compassion and care this festive season 🧡

Join us at our wellbeing support group for people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), and their carers 🧡

Led by Clinical Nurse Specialist, Samantha Doody, this group offers a safe and supportive space to connect with others, share experiences, and access emotional and practical support.

Whether you’re looking for advice, reassurance, or simply a place to feel understood, you’re very welcome to join us.

There's no booking required - simply come along to our Sutton Coldfield site on the third Tuesday of every month, from 1.30-3.30pm. Our next group is Tuesday 16th December 📅

Meet Jane, one of our incredible Support Workers in our Family Support and Wellbeing team.

Every day, Jane helps children and families navigate grief and loss - including those facing their first Christmas without someone they love 🧡

She also brings joy to our Inpatient Unit at this time of year, filling the unit with Christmas carols, bringing everyone together, as one big St Giles family.

This Christmas, you can help us continue to bring comfort, compassion and care to local people living with a terminal illness.

A donation of just £30 could help fund an hour of specialist care, offering comfort to a patient spending Christmas at St Giles.
