Moonbeams Therapeutic Services CIC was founded by Jacqui Shankly, a Certified Play Therapist, Early Years Educator and Attachment Specialist.
My passion and joy is working with families. Parents are their child’s first and most enduring teacher, and the family dynamic forms the basis of a child’s future view of the world. Modern life is making more demands of children and parents, and sometimes family life can become a real challenge. My approach is playful, non-judgemental and supportive. Whether you access individual Play Therapy support for your child or a child in your care, a Heart to Heart or PCAP session run by myself or one of my amazing team, or access one of my real life or online training courses, then I am confident that your connection with your child will grow stronger, and your confidence to support them through life's challenges will be enhanced.
My mission:
For Families:
Enabling family members to develop positive, playful and joyful relationships with each other. This supports the positive mental health and wellbeing of adults and children, bringing calm and enjoyment to family life, for everyone!
For Children:
Providing individual Play and Creative Arts Therapy for those children and young people experiencing challenging circumstances, and needing little extra support.
For Schools:
Play Therapy support in schools, and training and support for staff to enable them to better understand and support the mental health needs of the children in their care.
