Most people think recovery coaching is about ONLY about addiction.
It’s not. Not primarily.
It’s about the life someone is trying to build, the relationships they’re in, the routines they’re living inside, the choices they’re making each day, the future they’re beginning to imagine.
Addiction might be where the conversation starts. But the coaching happens in the life they are living
That’s what we’re exploring on April 15th with a free, live, 90 minute session open to everyone.

Recovery is reflected in the way a person lives.
In routines.
In relationships.
In daily choices.
In the patterns shaping recovery and wellbeing over time.
Join us on April 15 for a live conversation with Phil Valentine: Recovery Coaching Beyond Addiction: The Coach as Lifestyle Consultant
One day, the people we love and the people we lead will tell stories about us. What will they say?
The moments people remember are often not the biggest ones.
They remember:
- how we handled stress
- how we spoke to others
- whether we listened
- whether we made space
- whether they felt safer, calmer, or more seen because of us
In a world full of communication, meaningful presence has become rare.
And yet presence still shapes so much.
It shapes trust.
It shapes culture.
It shapes relationships.
It shapes what other people come to believe is normal.
Sometimes the most meaningful impact we have is not through achievement.
It is through the emotional atmosphere we create around other people.
A pause.
A question.
A moment of patience.
A conversation where someone feels genuinely heard.
These moments may look small.
But they are often the ones people carry.
Wha are your thoughts?

December was a full one for us.
We spent time in Dubai in conversation with people from around the world, building relationships and connections, followed by time at home slowing down, being present, and reconnecting with family.
As a mother and daughter team, learning how to hold both the work and the life around it matters deeply to us.
Behind the scenes, we’ve been reflecting on what’s changing in recovery support and how we want to show up as the year unfolds.
What has the start of the year been like for you?

Recovery Coach Academy had the joy of attending the amazing Lee Fitzgerald Workshop in London this past week!
When I attended 3 years ago there was no one in the audience we had trained; this year as I stepped on stage, I had a moment, as I looked out, we had several people who started with us and are now finding their own way in this profession and making a positive impact in the UK, Spain and beyond!
Thank you to Theo, Elizabeth, Yvonne, Willem, Jaz, TJ, Meg, Ronnie, Judy and so many more! Thank you to everyone who took the time to connect, have conversations; we (Calliese & I) are so excited for the future!!
