🌈 Hydration & Nutrition Week – Red Day ❤️

To kick off our Rainbow / Around the World themed Hydration and Nutrition Week, staff and residents wore red to match the colour theme.

Residents enjoyed a variety of red drinks and snacks and took part in a fun mocktail making session, choosing their own flavourings and mixers before tasting their creations. An excellent way to encourage hydration 🍹

For lunch, we travelled to Italy, with a choice of lasagna or pizza 🍕🍝

A colourful and fun start to the week! 🌈
Tomorrow, we will be celebrating St Patrick’s day so expect Guinness and a lot of green 💚😆

💐 Happy Mother’s Day 💐

Today, our lovely ladies received visits from their families to celebrate this special day, whilst enjoying some yummy treats from the snack trolley.

Joanne, our Activity Coordinator, also popped by to present these wonderful ladies with gifts from the home. 🎁

The residents then enjoyed a delicious roast beef dinner, followed by chocolate brownie and cream — the perfect way to end a lovely celebration. ❤️

☘️ Early St Patrick’s Day Celebrations ☘️

This afternoon the residents donned their aprons and got baking, making a traditional Irish barmbrack tea loaf.

Everyone took turns adding and mixing the ingredients, and the result was a delicious, moist tea loaf which was enjoyed with a nice cup of tea or coffee. A lovely way to start our St Patrick’s Day celebrations! ☘️🍞☕

This morning the residents enjoyed a game of giant snakes and ladders. There were lots of laughs as everyone took turns rolling the dice and moving across the board — climbing the ladders and trying to avoid those tricky snakes!

Monthly Church Service 🙏⛪️

Today our residents enjoyed another lovely monthly church service and Holy Communion with Sue ST PETER at GOWTS Church, Lincoln.
It was a calm and reflective time for everyone, giving residents the chance to come together, share prayers, and enjoy the familiar hymns and readings.

Moments like these are always very meaningful and bring great comfort to many of our residents. Thank you, Sue, for leading such a beautiful service for us all. 💒✨
