Chinese New Year – Year of the Horse 🐎🧧

This morning at Monson Care Home, some of our lovely residents put on their artistic hats and got creative celebrating the Year of the Horse. 🎨✨

With paintbrushes in hand, they produced some beautiful artwork inspired by this special celebration. There was lots of concentration, creativity and of course plenty of smiles along the way 😊

The Horse symbolises strength, energy and positivity — and we certainly had all three in abundance this morning! 🐎❤️

Well done to everyone who took part, your pictures are fantastic! 👏🎉

Today it was all about ball games here at Monson ⚽️🏀

This morning, our residents took part in a fun game of slipper soccer — lots of laughter, teamwork and a little friendly competition filled the lounge 🤭👟⚽️

In the afternoon, Ian kept the energy going with a variety of ball games, giving everyone the chance to get involved, stay active and most importantly, have fun 🎯🏀

A great day all round with plenty of smiles and sporting spirit!

Today was our fortnightly visit from the local nursery children The Nest Nursery and Pre-school, Lincoln 👶🧸🎨

As always, they brought so much joy and happiness to our residents, spending time together engaging with toys, games, and lots of lovely conversation 🧩🎲📚 The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and special moments from young and old alike 💛😊✨

To celebrate Shrove Tuesday, our residents took part in our annual pancake tossing contest.

As always, it was full of laughter, smiles, and a little bit of friendly competition! It’s safe to say everyone had a flipping good time! 😄🥞
And for tea, everyone enjoyed fresh pancakes with various toppings 😋

To celebrate Valentine’s Day tomorrow, some of our families joined their loved ones for a lovely afternoon tea courtesy of our chef, Ilza. ☕🍰

We also had a special visit from Cupid 🏹, who alongside our manager Anna, delivered beautiful chocolate roses to all of the residents 🌹🍫

This afternoon, we continued with our Winter Olympics celebration with our final event — the Snowball Tossing Contest ⛄🎯

To say this became competitive is an understatement! Snowballs were flying everywhere and there were lots of laughs all around 😄

This month, our Head Housekeeper, Lisa, is completing a sponsored walk — walking an amazing 62 miles in aid of Diabetes UK 👏

She is aiming to walk 2 miles a day, showing true dedication to this very worthwhile cause 💪💙
