🐾 Today our wonderful Phil was the star of the show! Students practiced their dog grooming techniques with him, and he was such a good boy – patient, gentle, and forgiving throughout. We’re so lucky to have him as part of our Alt-Ed team 💙

🌟 We’ve had an awesome day at Alt-Ed Lincs! For our Living Independently program, each learner received a Tamagotchi to care for over the next week. It was all about taking responsibility—students had to read the instructions and figure out how to keep their little virtual pets happy!

There was plenty of fun, laughter, and a bit of friendly rivalry as everyone aimed to be the best "parent." 🥳 We had some hilarious moments, including one standout quote: “Hunger’s at level 2?! I’ve just fed it 5 burgers!!?” 🍔😂

Here's to a week of nurturing our Tamagotchis and creating unforgettable memories!

🐾 Yesterday, we had a wonderful visitor at our school! Phil joined us for the day, and he was absolutely adorable. He got along famously with the kids!

We took a lovely walk to Whisby Nature Reserve, where Phil charmed everyone he met. It was heartwarming to see the kids enjoying their time with him and soaking up nature. Looking forward to our next adventure with our furry friends! 🌳❤️

🎃🍂 Halloween & Autumn — we celebrated it in style at Alt-Ed Lincs 🍂🎃

This week was packed with seasonal fun: we wandered through forest trails spotting wildlife 🐿️🦉, carved some seriously cool pumpkins 🎨🎃, and treated ourselves to delicious chocolate apples 🍫🍏.

We got into the spooky spirit with horror films that gave us goosebumps 🎬😱, shared ghost stories that sent shivers down our spines 👻, and enjoyed trick-or-treating with plenty of giggles and goodies! 🍬🕸️

Here’s to more adventures as the leaves keep falling… 🍁🦇

🌟 We’ve settled into our groove this term, and it’s been a whirlwind of excitement! 🎉 We’re thrilled to welcome lots of new learners who have already brought such energy to our days.

🐾 We’ve been out in nature with our beloved school dog, Loki, enjoying fresh air and adventures. We even treated ourselves to a delicious day of cooking — those ‘French Toast Bacon Sandwiches’ were truly out of this world! 🥓🍞

Our adventures also took us to the driving range, where we had a blast swinging clubs, and we made a special trip to see the impressive new Lancaster Bomber Statue. ✈️

This term, we’re diving into a variety of engaging topics, including Photography, History, Foodwise, Gardening, Music, Art, Living Independently, Animal Care, and Health & Wellbeing. It’s all about learning, growing, and having fun together! 🌱🎶🎨

Here’s to more exciting adventures ahead! 🚀

🌟 Exciting news! Back in August, we had the incredible opportunity to travel to London to receive our beautiful trophy. We are both thrilled and proud to be recognised as the winners of this award!

Many of you may not be aware of the hard work and dedication that went into getting our business off the ground. What we do, we do with passion, and we truly make a positive impact on the lives of the young people who come to our centre. It’s heartwarming to receive this recognition for our efforts.

A huge thank you to all our friends and family for your unwavering support. We couldn't have done it without you!

🌿 That’s a wrap on HAF Summer ‘25! 🚌🏖️

This week at Alt-Ed Lincs, we’ve been celebrating Natural World Week, and what an amazing time we’ve had! From crafting our very own Tartainiums, to exploring our allotment and picking fresh fruit, it’s been a week full of nature, discovery and healthy fun.

We’ve:
🗑️ Done our bit for the planet with a litter pick
🦆 Fed the ducks and geese at the park
🧂 Got our toes sandy with paddling and beach games
🌿 Gone pond dipping to explore the mini beasts beneath the water
🍓 And enjoyed loads of healthy food along the way!

All of that fun comes hot on the heels of last week’s Transport Week, and we couldn’t be prouder of all the brilliant young people who joined us. You’ve been fantastic!

Thank you to everyone who helped make it all happen – we’ve had an absolute blast hosting HAF this summer. Until next time! 💚

🦸‍♀️🥦 Healthy Superheroes to the Rescue! 🥕🦸‍♂️
We’ve had an action-packed time at Alt-Ed Lincs with our Healthy Superhero Competition—and the creativity was off the charts! 💥

🌟 A huge congratulations to our winner: Mushy Man! 🌟 With powers that make children LOVE healthy food, Mushy Man proved that veggies can be super cool! 🥦💚

But the spotlight doesn’t stop there—every student brought their A-game with amazing superhero ideas that celebrated healthy eating in the most imaginative ways. From flying vegetables to crime-fighting fruits, we were blown away by the talent and enthusiasm! 🍅⚡
We’re so proud of all our young creators. You’ve shown that healthy living can be heroic, fun, and full of personality. 💪✨

Keep being awesome—and remember, even superheroes need their five-a-day! 🌽🍏

🚗🚂✈️ 🚢That’s a wrap on our Transport-Themed HAF Summer Club! ✈️🚂🚗🚢

Last week, our learners explored all things transport — and what an incredible journey it was! We had brilliant trips out to the Lincoln Transport Museum and the Sherwood Forest Railway, alongside plenty of hands-on, transport-themed fun back at base.

As this week was also focused on healthy eating, we got creative in the kitchen too — learning what fuels an F1 driver, planning nutritious meals for a fisherman out at sea, and even exploring how meals are prepared for commercial air travel. There were lots of opportunities to taste, try, and talk about food in a relaxed, supportive space.

We’re so proud of our learners — their curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to try new things made the week a real success. A huge thank you to all the staff, supporters, and families who made it possible. We absolutely loved it… and we think the learners did too! 💛

🌿 This week, we’re heading into the wild with our Natural World Club — so stay tuned for more adventures!
