This week is Stop the Pressure Week, which raises the importance of preventing pressure ulcers, a condition that can significantly impact the lives of patients, their families and carers.

To raise awareness, we would like to showcase our Tissue Viability Service. 💙

Our Tissue Viability Service provides expert assessment and management for patients with complex wounds in the community, including pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, burns, and surgical wounds. The team advise on evidence-based wound care and pressure-relieving equipment to optimise healing and patient comfort.

They visit patients in their own homes, care homes, and clinics to assess wounds, advise on the best treatments, and help find the right pressure-relieving equipment to keep skin healthy and comfortable.

Experts have now completed their examinations of the suspected device discovered near Boston Police Station and have found it to be a piece of clay pipe. The cordon in the area is being lifted and residents will be returned to their homes. We are grateful to the public for their patience and understanding while we worked to maintain public safety and resolve this incident.

Staff and children have welcomed a special visitor to the Children’s Ward at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston. 🐻

Pudsey Bear visited the hospital to cheer off BBC Radio Lincolnshire Presenter Scott Dalton, as he set off on his leg of a three-legged challenge in aid of Children in Need. Pudsey then popped up to visit some of our patients, visitors and staff on Ward 4a.

Good luck to Scott and the team! More information about their challenge is available on the BBC website: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cp85jz805g4o
