🤩 💚 Thank you so much to Gusto Homes for their donation and support. We are so grateful to have received nominations from some special employees and the money received will go towards our service further supporting Children and Young People with their mental health.
It was great to visit the Rototek offices to meet with some of the Gusto team and fellow charities to hear all about the great work that is being done in the Newark Community 🎊 ✨

Nurturing minds and inspiring change 🌟

Today, we'd like to shine a spotlight on the incredible work of CASY Counselling, a young people's mental health charity that provides one-to-one counselling services across the East Midlands.

Established in 1998, CASY has been a vital lifeline for youths across the region, helping them to navigate concerns such as anxiety, low self-esteem and self-harm. No issue is too big or small for CASY, their dedicated counsellors provide a safe space for young people to explore their feelings, equipping them with the tools to develop strategies to manage emotions.

The experts at CASY are also investing in the future of mental health provision by offering high quality continued professional development, allowing practitioners to maintain and enhance their competencies to ensure our young people get the best possible care.

💛 September Raffle for Su***de Prevention Month 💛

This September, in honour of Su***de Prevention Month, all proceeds from our salon raffle will be donated to CASY, a local registered charity right here in Newark.

CASY has been providing counselling and emotional support to children and young people (ages 6–25) across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire for over 25 years. In 2023 alone, they supported more than 2,100 young people, offering a safe space for those facing emotional and mental health challenges.

As a self-funded charity, CASY relies on community support to continue their vital work. By joining our raffle, not only are you in with a chance of winning incredible prizes, but you’re also helping fund life-changing counselling services for young people in need.

We spent our morning at Asda to raise awareness of CASY and the support we provide for Children and Young People in our local community.😀

They’re here raising awareness of the incredible work CASY does to support local young people aged 6-25 and fundraising to keep those vital services going.

No issue or problem is too big or too small 💚

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we'd like to shine a spotlight on CASY Counselling and their noble efforts in providing support to children and young people throughout Nottinghamshire.

Globally it's estimated that 1 in 7 people aged 10-19 years old experience mental health conditions, with 50% of mental health conditions being established by the age of 14, and 75% by the age of 24.

This is where CASY comes in. They currently support approximately 1500 young people per year on a 1-to-1 basis. Their valiant services allow individuals to share struggles and difficulties with their counsellors who will work with the individual to enable them to make changes to improve their mental well-being, giving them the best chance of a mentally and emotionally healthy future.

We appreciate all support and donations, with this or in any capacity. 🙏 ✨

We have seen an increase in the need for our services over the past few years and that is why we are looking for some help from our community with raising funds to support making this more accessible and affordable for more young people that require our services.

CASY is a registered charity based in Newark, providing counselling and emotional support to children and young people throughout Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. We have been established for over 25 years and have a great deal of experience in supporting children and young people with their emotional and mental health issues. In 2023, CASY supported over 2,000 people between the ages of 6-25.

Our service is a not-for-profit, self-funded charity and due to this we do have to charge a small amount for each session. There is a lack of mental health services that can be easily and timely accessed by young people. Our charity offers subsidised counselling sessions and, due to a lack of alternative provision, the demand for our services has sky rocketed.
