Saying you’re not flexible enough for yoga 🧘‍♀️ is like saying you’re too dirty to take a bath 🛁 🤭

I saw this quote today and it just made me smile out loud as it’s so true 😃

You really don’t always need a plan … sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go and see what happens … and that’s exactly why I love my yoga practice so much ❤️

Aaaaaand so with that in mind I need to start working on my oversplits now 🫣🤣

Mixing the old with the new and absolutely over the moon with the new look of my Yoga Room 🥰

I had wanted a total change, and so both the mirrors and the colour were a brave choice for me … but I’m absolutely in love with this Farrow & Ball paint in Sulking Room Pink (loving that name too) 😊 … and huuuuge thanks to Steve & Leigh Robinson (our fabulous friendly local decorators Robinsons Decorators) for putting the colour on and making the room come to life … it’s truly got all the wonder and amazement of a Fairy Tale … even though I’m no ballerina - yet 🩰 🤣😂
Anyways, really excited to get back to my yoga n flexy training slowly now … hopefully the strength work will only be another couple of months before I’m given the all clear to do more again as I really miss it 🤪 … meanwhile legs legs legs 🦵 forgot to post that pic (don’t know how to add now) but it’s on my story today 🤣🤣🤣

While I get back to my more normal practice over the next few months I am thinking of also mixing my horsey stuff in with some yoga … does that sound a good idea or should I just do a separate page 🤷‍♀️ 🤭🤭🤭

One last thing … I may well begin some yummy Gentle Yoga & Meditation Classes again when the clocks change ☺️

Dear Body - my oldest friend and steadiest companion … I Love You 🥰
So, just a quickie post because today I am four months post mastectomy/reconstruction surgery and also finished my 15 radiotherapy sessions last week 🥳 … so I have just had my first proper hour long stretch sesh in that time ☺️ it felt amaaaazing but those hammies are definitely going to be talking to me tomoro 🙈
Forward folding has not been possible because of the pressure on the chest wall and I still have to be careful with it, but sadly looks like it will probs be another couple of months before I can get back to any strength work, as just three 10 second forearm planks were still a definite no no and I knew it 🫣 … guess they were right and I need to grow up and listen 🙈 … but that’s ok I’m really in no hurry and so guess what … meanwhile I am going to get back to my old Cher Step Workouts, very much needed as I have put half a stone on since surgery 🙈😂, and they’re still so good 🤪 can anyone remember doing them - I still love them as much as I did back then 🎵 🎶 … even replaced them on dvd from video (showing my age) but they’re on YouTube now too 👌

I am having my Yoga Room decorated- yaaaaay 🥳 … a complete makeover complete with more mirrors 🪞 to mark the end of this breast cancer surgery and treatment 🙌… so this will be my last post with grey walls 😱 and my next post may well reveal the new look 👀 🤪😂😂😂
Thank you so much once again to my gorgeous daughter Natasha for continuing to help out with the pony boys … Socks is now a rather sexy looking 2 year old young horse of Gamblethorpe Hanoverians … and Oscar is more thanhappy to have somebody else take him out for adventures sometimes 😃

Thank you so much to so so many people who have now reached out to me and asked if I’m ok 🤗 … my close friends and family obviously know what’s going on, and I thought long and hard whether to post .. but here goes 😅

So, unfortunately after 12 years my breast cancer has returned, resulting in a full mastectomy three weeks ago with immediate reconstruction (because I’m vain 😅) and now I’m just awaiting further results from America, as this time it has reached the lymph nodes, to see whether chemo will be suggested 🫣

This post is NOT for sympathy or such like, but just a quickie to say that sometimes life happens and we just need to take time to step away to heal ❤️‍🩹 … and a reminder that the time to be motivated by guilt, resentment, perfectionism or competitiveness is now over … now is the time to do things out of love, celebration and the joy of self expression 🥰

I miss my horses so much right now (who I am still not allowed near for at least another 3 weeks!) and am so thankful for the support and strength of my loved ones, family and friends for looking after them so well while I can’t right now… especially as Socks had what should have been a minor procedure back in January that went extremely wrong 😢 and has spent a lot of the past three months in veterinary hospital … he came home the week before my surgery - so has obviously needed so much additional care.
I also miss my yoga and exercise lots as it’s always been my relaxation too … but I know I shall soon be back to both running around with the horses and my stretchercise again 💪 ☺️

As we say farewell to 2024 and embrace the new year let’s just take a moment to slow down and reflect on the joy, challenges and lessons we have experienced this year, remembering the importance of love for ourselves and others, compassion, friendship and gratitude ❤️

So… as we step into 2025 let’s leave behind any doubts n fears we may have (I know I have plenty 🫣🤪), and believe we have the confidence in our our own unique ability to absolutely kick ass and achieve whatever our little hearts desire ❤️ 🥹

For me this is lots of fun with the horses 🐴🦄 and getting back to some proper training; to work on all things splitsy, backbendy and of course a consistent upside downs practice to learn how to find some proper balance on my hands, after a rather strange year in general health wise, along with some good ole power yoga flows because they just feel so damned guuuuuuud … obvs 🙄 🧘‍♀️ 🤸‍♀️ 🥰
