Number 3: Prioritise self care. How many times have you said 'I haven't got time to go to exercise' or 'I'm too busy to cook a proper meal?' It won't matter just this once right? But what if just this once becomes the norm?

It may seem as though by not doing these things we are saving ourselves time, but in the long run we are adding to our stress by not looking after ourselves as a priority. So take the time for self care, it doesn't have to be long, just schedule something into your planner each day.

Set yourself boundaries. Turn your computer off when you finish work, don't answer work related emails and etc out of hours, don't check your phone during dinner, and very importantly learn to say no and ask for help when needed.

Feeling Stressed?

We have been asked a lot recently for tips to help with stress and burnout, so for the next week we will be posting tips each day.

Number 1: Focus on the things you can change.
There are many things we can't control in our lives that cause us to feel 'stressed out'. We can however change how we react to them. Additionally there are many things that we are in control of and can change. We can change what time we go to bed, what we watch on the TV, what we listen to, what we choose to wear, what we eat. and many more. All these little changes can mage a big difference.

Don't try to change everything in one go though as you will feel overwhelmed. One step at a time!

Why Chiropractic?

We are a chiropractic centre with a special interest in helping you before, during and after pregnancy. Chiropractors focus on the body's innate ability to heal. In order for this to happen, the Central Nervous System (CNS - master control system of the body) has to be able to communicate with the body in order to optimise performance. The majority of these messages come from nerves which pass through the spinal column. This is where chiropractors come in: we aim to maximise the structure and function (physiology) of the spine and therefore the body by making gentle adjustments to the spine, pelvis and cranial tissues. Massage helps to augment this process by releasing tissue tension in the body, thereby enhancing circulation, improving healing rates and overall wellbeing. We offer free checks for children, and ongoing wellness checks for all.
