Facebook Business in its infinite wisdom has initiated a new update and so now I can't access/edit this page in the conventional way. Bear with me as I attempt to get it sorted but I don't know how long it will take. I'm not impressed with their recent updates as a result of which, I've problems easily accessing messages on my pet sitting business page, and I can't access photo albums on my personal page... so frustrating...

Hello, I've not gone away but am busy getting ready for a relaunch, details of which to follow soon. In the meantime, it's a busy time in the garden but please don't remove dandelions from your garden. The yellow flowers are a vital food source for pollinating insects! And the other parts are useful to us too.

As some of you may know, I'm the parent of a child with complex special needs and one of the things that we are reminded to do is make sure we take care of ourselves. The mantra is: "self-care for the carer".

We all have caring roles - as parents, children of aged parents, friends, colleagues, and of course, giving service in our community. But, caring comes at a cost - our own energy, strength, and inner peace is tested and used up when we give to others. So to help us help others, we need to help ourselves. This 30 minute rule will support us as we try the hardest caring role of all - caring for ourselves.

This need to support care for the carers is one of the reasons I set up the The Essential Lavender Company, its sister wellbeing business, The Essential Sleep Company, and more recently, founded Liphook Community Wellness - Liphook Well-Being Group. I hope you will join me as I attempt to ensure I follow this one golden rule and look after myself as much as I wish to care for others.

NEWS UPDATE:
Hello Everyone, I hope you're enjoying today's lovely, sunny weather! I've had a short break from posting on this page and wished to give you an update with what's happening with The ELC and how you can still get your ELC products.

Over the coming months, I'm planning to extend the range of items for women undergoing hormonal changes, supporting regenerative skin care (burns, dry skin, mature skin), regenerative hair care, mental & emotional good health, and also, next year, pet health.

In the meantime, as you already know, I'm deeply committed to helping people with their health & wellbeing. Inspired by this need, this summer I became the co-founder of the Liphook Well-being Group . The LWG brings together creatives & practitioners and offers our community access to activities & treatments that support mental, physical, emotional, and social good health.

We've run community events this summer & autumn - full details on our public page Liphook Community Wellness - Liphook Well-Being Group and have much more planned in 2019. At these events, you'll find Essential Lavender Company products, however I'll be shifting emphasis to local delivery (free to Liphook and the immediate area) once I have an online catalogue page set up. There will be new items and old favourites.

To help me achieve this, I've said goodbye to my monthly stand at Redford Market. I'll still be at the Liphook Millennium Centre every second Saturday but as I'll be helping to run our LWG Wellness Morning, I won't have my full stand available. You'll still be able to collect or place orders for delivery though!

I'll also be the Liphook School Christmas Fayre on Sunday 2nd December 12 to 2.30 pm so hope to see some of you there!

Thanks for being here with me as I continue my journey to support wellbeing in meaningful ways - I'm really excited at what's planned for 2019!

It's my birthday today and this morning I'm expressing for all the good things that have been part of my life this last year and manifesting and for good things in the year to come. Thank you all for your support & encouragement during this time. Setting up this eco-business has been the culmination of dreams started when I was a little girl watching the Wombles! It's a privilege to support people in their well-being whilst practising all the things I love to do - planting, tending plants, creating remedies, and spending time on creative, well-being practises. I feel very blessed

A wonderful chance to make something practical and beautiful! The actual process of using our hands to make something is both fun & therapeutic, especially for those experiencing stress, anxiety, over- active minds, restlessness, or mental health difficulties.

Creating your own flowerpot is a great way to relax and create a practical gift for yourself or someone special. Coiled Clay techniques have been used by humans for thousands of years to produce practical & beautiful pieces. You'll take home your home made flowerpot, some compost, and some seeds.
