As Christmas approaches, we here at Ronnie Thompsons are aware that this can be a very difficult time of year for many who have lost loved ones.

We wanted to provide the community with a place to remember those we have lost over the years, so this year we have introduced a Christmas tree just inside the front door of our premises.

This Christmas Tree will serve as a Remembrance Tree, if you have lost a loved one, be it this year or any other year, and would like their name added to the tree, simply call in or leave us a message here on our page.

Beside our tree, there are little Christmas themed tags for you to write a name and a message, then simply hang your tag on the tree.

Also, beside the tree, there is a charity collection box in aid of Air Ambulance NI, there is absolutely no obligation to donate but if you can, it would be very much appreciated.

Shortly after Christmas, we will total up those donations and the company will match or better that total.

Hopefully, this tree will become a tradition here and serve not only as an opportunity to remember those we have lost over the years but to help a very worthy cause.

We’re asking for donations of clean & good condition mobility aids, that you might have lying around and no longer in use.

It is our mission to find these items a new home with someone in our community who really needs them.

Items such as:
•wheelchairs
•battery scooters
•crutches & sticks
•rollators & walkers
•seats/chairs
•ramps

Had a lovely evening yesterday at Lisburn Civic Centre, learning about all the amazing work thehygienebankmoira do for our local community.

As well as celebrating hygiene week, we got to mingle with volunteers, local group members, enjoy a beautiful performance from Atlas’s S.I.N.G ukulele group and devour delicious cupcakes from the.dailyapron
