I recently completed the practical session of IPEN (independent Placenta Encapsulation Network). Honoured to be trained by Irish specialist Naomi Young and IPEN founder Lynnea Shrief.
My original training was based on the 2011 IPEN training and any specialist will admit a lot has changed since then! So I will be having a bit of a reorganise and overhaul to make sure Sunrise Birth complies with all aspects of IPENs updates recommendations.
For the time being I won’t be accepting new clients but really excited to get back soon with a snazzy relaunch!
My service will be becoming a lot more personal and I’m excited to get to that place 😊

Im totally geeking and gushing over this placenta from a mother who carried triplets.

You can see where the 3 amniotic sacs where the babies were separated but shared the same placenta👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻

I’m in complete awe of this organ. The placenta is nothing short of AWESOME AND PERFECT IN EVERY WAY💯

Blessed and proud to bring another strong girl into this world.
Tiana Gia Johnson came into this world like a force of nature and Mama Lauren Hashian Official labored and delivered like a true rockstar.
I was raised and surrounded by strong, loving women all my life, but after participating in baby Tia’s delivery, it’s hard to express the new level of love, respect and admiration I have for Lauren Hashian Official and all mamas and women out there.
Word to the wise gentlemen, it’s critical to be by your lady’s head when she’s delivering, being as supportive as you can.. holding hands, holding legs, whatever you can do. But, if you really want to understand the single most powerful and primal moment life will ever offer - watch your child being born. Its a life changer and the respect and admiration you have for a woman, will forever be boundless.
And to my third and youngest daughter, Tiana Gia - like I did when your two older sisters Simone Alexandra and Jasmine Lia were born, you have my word, I’ll love, protect, guide and make ya laugh for the rest of my life.
Your crazy dad has many responsibilities and wears many hats in this big ol’ world, but being your dad will always be the one I’m most proud to wear.
Oh and one more thing.. you’re gonna love rollin’ in daddy’s pick up truck.

There isn’t always a size correlation between babies and placentas but usually the placenta weighs about a 6th of the newborns weight.
Yet I have had many clients with 8-7lbs babies whose placentas have been remarkably varied. Different structures or unusual aspects of the placenta (e.g fat deposits or calcified areas) can also effect capsule yield as well as the colour of the powdered placenta.

Average is hard to say, it’s unusual to get less than 100 but not tremendously uncommon to get nearly 200! I’d say my average has been between 120-150 over the last two years.

The recommended daily dosage of placenta capsules contain nearly 25% of a woman’s RDA of iron.
But this isn’t like the iron you can buy to supplement (often only a fraction of which is absorbed) this is tailor made iron from your own body! Isn’t that incredible?!

So the average placenta contains approximately all the iron the body needs for an entire month. And you grew a baby as well, we are amazing.
