Last month, one of our customer organisations reached out with a unique challenge: Could Ethel support communication for a non-verbal service user, especially during stays in respite or rehab centres?
This sparked a journey of deep listening, iterative development, and close collaboration. we're thrilled to share our simple yet powerful solution: a dedicated Comms Tab within Ethel, enhancing how this individual interacts with their care team (including a bell to alert the carer)

Who knew that gaming could be a secret sauce to independent living?

Last month, Ethel users played our built-in games a whopping 10,485 times!

Honestly, we didn’t see that one coming—but we’re thrilled!
Why? Because gaming isn't just fun—it's genuinely great for our users. More games mean higher engagement, and higher engagement means users naturally embrace core features like medication reminders, meal prompts, check-ins, and connecting via video calls with family and carers.

Plus, here's a bonus fact for you: online gaming for seniors isn't just entertaining; it actually boosts brain neuroplasticity, enhancing cognitive functions like memory, attention, and problem-solving skills.
So, game on, Ethel community! We're loving this trend—and long may it continue!
