On this International Women’s Day, I want to take a moment to celebrate the woman who inspires me the most — my wife, Samara. 💖💪🏽

I truly have the pleasure of being married to the most inspiring woman I know.

Not only is she an incredible wife and the most amazing mum to our four boys, she is the absolute definition of “walking your talk.”

Just a few short years ago, Samara was working in a job she no longer enjoyed. She had just given birth to our twins and, like many people do at times in life, she felt uncertain about the direction ahead.

But she didn’t let fear stand in the way of what she wanted for herself or for our family.

She got crystal clear on her vision and took a leap into a completely new career path. In a remarkably short period of time, she’s become one of the leading voices in her industry, working with clients from all around the world.

And somehow, through it all, she still manages to be the most incredible wife and mum to all of us boys at home.

Samara, I’m so proud of you and everything you stand for.

Here’s to you on International Women’s Day. 🌍✨

Difference Between BEMER and P90 (PEMF Therapy Systems)? 🤔

👉 Both BEMER and P90 are forms of PEMF therapy (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy) - However, they are quite different in how they are designed, the scientific claims they make, and what they aim to treat.
I’ll outline the key differences clearly.

1️⃣ Core Technology - BEMER

BEMER devices use a specific patented signal waveform designed to stimulate vasomotion (the rhythmic contraction of small blood vessels).

The aim is to improve microcirculation, particularly in the smallest blood vessels (capillaries).

Research associated with BEMER focuses on:
🩸 microvascular blood flow
💨 oxygen delivery to tissues
🧬 metabolic waste removal

P90
The P90 system is a general PEMF device that delivers pulsed electromagnetic fields to the body.

Typical PEMF devices focus on:
💪🏽 muscle relaxation
😩 pain reduction
👍🏼 general cellular stimulation

Most PEMF mats produce simple pulsed magnetic fields rather than a highly complex waveform.

2️⃣ Waveform Pattern

This is one of the biggest differences.
BEMER patented multi-phase signal
designed to mimic physiological vasomotion rhythms complex waveform with modulation.

3️⃣ Medical Research:

BEMER has published research in areas such as:
🩸 microcirculation
♥️ vascular regulation
🏃🏻‍♂️ sports recovery
💪🏽 rehabilitation

4️⃣ Regulatory Classification:

BEMER devices have medical device certification (Class II).

That means the device has been evaluated for specific therapeutic claims.

Whereas many PEMF wellness mats, including systems like P90, are marketed primarily as wellness devices, not medical devices.

5️⃣ Field Strength and Signal Design:

BEMER has relatively low intensity electromagnetic field with specifically timed pulses… Typical PEMF mats can have higher magnetic field strength with simpler pulse patterns - More intensity does not necessarily mean better physiological effect.

6️⃣ Why Microcirculation Matters

Microcirculation controls:
• oxygen delivery
• nutrient supply
• waste removal
• tissue repair

Impaired microcirculation is involved in many conditions including:
• diabetes
• cardiovascular disease
• chronic inflammation
• slow healing

This is why BEMER focuses specifically on vasomotion stimulation.

7️⃣ Practical Experience

Users often report with BEMER:
✅ improved recovery
✅ improved sleep
✅ faster injury repair
✅ better circulation

👉 Simple summary

BEMER = targeted microcirculation therapy
complex patented signal
medical research focused on vasomotion

P90 = general PEMF stimulation
simpler electromagnetic pulse patterns
mainly wellness applications.

Client Success Story 🙌

Our client came to us presenting with both Tennis Elbow and Golfer’s Elbow (lateral and medial epicondylitis), causing persistent pain and limiting her daily activities. She had even been recommended surgery as the next step.

Instead of jumping straight to an invasive option, we focused on identifying and treating the root cause of her pain.

Through a targeted treatment plan including dry needling and BEMER therapy, we were able to reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and support proper tissue healing.

✨ The result? She is now pain free and back to doing what she loves — no surgery needed.

If you’ve been told surgery is your only option, there may be another way. Reach out to learn how we can help. 💪

🏃‍♀️ Back on the Trails — Pain Free!

Our physiotherapist Rebecca has been experiencing the benefits of our Specialised Dry Needling services firsthand.

As a competitive fell (mountain) runner, Rebecca recently developed Patellofemoral Syndrome in her knee — a common but frustrating condition that can really impact running performance.

Thankfully, Paul stepped in quickly with targeted dry needling treatment to help reduce her pain, improve muscle function, and support her recovery.

💬 The result? Rebecca is already on the road back to running comfortably and confidently on the trails.

At Prentice Sports Therapy, we don’t just treat athletes — we keep them doing what they love.

📩 Get in touch to find out how Specialised Dry Needling could help you move pain free.

Today’s treatment focus: Full Retro Fascial Chain Release ✨

My client lives with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), a condition that can cause involuntary muscle spasms. Over time, these spasms create significant tension, inflammation, and pain throughout her body.

By performing a full Retro Fascial chain release, we worked to gently reduce fascial adhesions and restore tissue mobility. When fascia becomes restricted, it can contribute to increased inflammation, reduced circulation, and ongoing discomfort.

Releasing these restrictions helps to:
✔️ Decrease built-up tension
✔️ Reduce inflammation
✔️ Improve overall soft tissue health
✔️ Allow for greater ease of movement
✔️ Support pain reduction

Every session is tailored to the individual — especially when working with complex neurological conditions. Supporting the body’s fascial system can make a meaningful difference in comfort, mobility, and quality of life.

If you suffer from chronic pain conditions, please drop us a DM or give us a call 📲 to find out how we could help improve your quality of life! 👍🏼

⚡️ Don’t Let Joint Pain Slow You Down!

Staying active is great for your health, but it also places ongoing demands on your joints, muscles, and tendons.

Whether you’re playing sports, working out, or enjoying an active lifestyle, it’s important to recognize when something doesn’t feel right. 🫣

Pain that lingers, swelling after activity, or a loss of strength or range of motion can be signs that your body needs attention. 🕵🏻‍♂️

Ignoring those signs or pushing through pain can increase the risk of more serious injury over time.

Sports Therapy isn’t just for elite athletes. It’s for anyone who wants to stay active safely and confidently. Early evaluation can help protect your long-term mobility and keep you doing what you enjoy.🎾 ⚽️🏑🏸🏌🏻‍♀️🏋️‍♀️
