Milestone moment! This morning marked the beginning of a new exciting chapter of Live Life Well-Being Centre. Today was 'key handover' day from our remarkable technicial team and building contractors Leo Matheson Ltd to the Charity. Our Board of Trustees wish to express their thanks to the many people involved in achieving the completion of this major project, including our Mayor Alderman Amanda Grehan who has worked tirelessly on the delivery of this project for two years. Thank-you also to Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council officials and councillors for your dedication to the project. This has been a huge team effort. The outcome is a modern state-of-the-art building that will deliver inclusive opportunities for everyone in the community of Lisburn. WE DID IT !!!!

A massive thank-you to members of Lisburn Social Hurlers Liam, Hugh, Michael, Chris and Mark who volunteered their Sunday, to install our electrical goods, plus a number of other jobs! You may spot in the photos Lisburn's Superwoman Alderman Amanda Grehan who rolled up her sleeves to clean, remove tiles and fill a van of rubbish. You are all community heroes in our eyes. ❤️ Thank-you to LFT Charitable Trust for the grant to purchase everything.

Participants asked for a Disco Ball for their parties. 🕺💃 It looks even bigger in real life. The hall and kitchen are set to be great spaces for community events and children's birthday parties.

This morning Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Chief Executive David Burns, Louise Moore, Director of Leisure, Mayor Amanda Grehan as well as other senior council officials, visited the building to see first hand the community investment at the Grove Activity Centre. They were really impressed and encouraging and are excited to see the impact the project will have over the future years.

We are on the home run! Finishes are starting! All the kitchens and cabinetry are arriving next week.

Latest Grove re-energisation update! Suspended ceilings and smart lighting are currently being installed. The first coat of paint has started (3 in layers in total). Third van load delivered, of a donation of tables and chairs from Parliament Buildings Stormont (one more to go). Tomorrow the bathroom goods arrive. 💪
