Rachel is one of our amazing team members here at Laserway.
She’s passionate about helping clients feel confident and comfortable in their own skin through safe and effective hair removal and skin care treatments she pays extra attention to detail, Rachel ensures every client feels at ease from the moment they walk through the door. Whether it’s your first session or a regular visit, you’re always in good hands with her!

💫When she’s not in the clinic, Rachel is a Proud dog mum to my 12-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Bailey 🐾, In her spare time she is out on walks with him or being put through her paces by her PT Lauren.
She been working with lasers and skin treatments for over 10 years now, and I still get just as excited about the results as when I first started.
Rachel said Her absolute favourite treatment has to be IPL—it’s amazing for calming redness and giving skin that all-important collagen boost (a must now that she is in the 30+ club!) 😜 still looking in her 20s tho I think. Our Alexandrite Facial is ideal for treating stubborn pigmentation, sun damage, and uneven skin tone – and autumn is the best time to start 🍂

We use the Candela Alexandrite 755nm laser, a gold standard in pigment reduction, to safely and effectively break down unwanted pigment

What to expect:
✔️ Mild redness post-treatment, which typically settles within a few hours
✔️ Pigment will darken over the next few days
✔️ Treated pigment will gradually slough off over the next week or so, revealing brighter, more even skin

💫 How Many Laser Hair Removal Sessions Do You Need?

One of the most common questions we’re asked is — “How many laser sessions will I need?”

At Laserway Lisburn, we use Candela medical-grade laser technology, one of the most trusted and effective systems in the industry. This advanced technology allows us to safely and efficiently target the hair follicle while protecting the surrounding skin, providing exceptional results across a wide range of skin and hair types.

It’s important to remember that everyone’s hair growth cycle is unique, which means the number of treatments required can vary from person to person. Factors such as hair colour, thickness, skin tone, and underlying hormonal imbalances (such as PCOS) can all influence how your hair responds to laser treatment. In cases where hormones affect hair growth, some clients may require a few additional sessions to achieve optimal results.

✨ Treatment Intervals:
• Facial areas: Treatments are typically spaced every 4 weeks
• Body areas: Treatments are usually spaced every 6–8 weeks

As your hair growth begins to slow and thin out, your sessions will gradually be pushed further apart. This is a positive sign — it means your hair growth cycle is responding well, and fewer active hairs are coming through between sessions.

We generally recommend everyone start with a course of 6 treatments to achieve a noticeable and lasting reduction in hair growth. After your initial course, maintenance sessions may be needed for some clients to maintain your smooth, hair-free results.

Please note that laser hair removal will not work on very light blonde, grey, or auburn hair, as there isn’t enough pigment in these hair types for the laser to effectively target the follicle.
