Teachers Retreat Weekend
12th to 14th June

As teachers we need the energy vibes of like minded people. Individual's who understand that teaching has its challenges alongside the deep satisfaction it brings helping others.

Working as a teacher now for over 30 years, in the early days I often felt I was on this journey alone. We need to chat and exchange ideas, inspire each other and embrace self-growth.

I hope to inspire, motivate and encourage you over this weekend.
The weekend Programme will enclude Yoga, Meditation, Self- Growth, Cacoe Ceremony, Self-Massage with relaxing oils, and Deep Relaxation.

The weekend is open to anyone deeply interested in yoga and self- growth. Perhaps just time away to recharge and relax.

On the Saturday evening we go out for dinner to the local Hotel. ( not encluded in cost of your weekend)

This is a small bespoke Retreat, time to reflect, plan and relax.

Healthy nutritious food throughout the weekend.

Today the Strive Workshop had a inspiring talk from Physio Dervla Murphy on the Spine and how to keep the body flexible and mobile as we get older.

We enjoyed a Pilates Barre Class usuing the chair as a substitute for a bar. 😊 This was followed by lunch and a Mindfulness session on self-growth.

It's not all about the body and mind! Chatting and enjoying the company of like minded people, having a laugh lift the spirit and you leave for home with a inner glow and spring to your step. 🏃❤️😊

At some point, you will have to decide: do I stay where it’s familiar, or do I move toward what I actually want?

Comfort makes a convincing argument. It sounds practical. It sounds responsible. It tells you this is enough. And your mind can adapt to that story very quickly.

But your mind is also directed toward growth and achievement. When you aim it at something that challenges you, it builds capacity within you. There's a certain wisdom in exploring the unknown, even when it scares you.

The choice that stretches you is usually the one that expands you.

Growth asks for courage. And more often than not, that’s the direction your future is waiting in.

The Business Of Yoga

When you start up teaching classes the reality of making it work kicks in.
You have the perfect class plan but thats just the beginning!, You need to find your niche, market yourself, look for a venue, get insurance, music, equipment, have health & safety in place. Is this all enough?

Finding your super niche is something I discuss with students. What do you enjoy about your practice? What changes would you like to see in class? A super niche is something that will withstand all competition.
You own it, breathe it, its your baby, If you feel something is missing in the holistic world, or you have a idea for something new. this could be your chance to step up and do something different.

What's holding you back?

Mentoring a Teacher a few months ago we discussed this very topic. They had a very different idea but lacked the confidence to give it a try. "The Yoga Supper Club" involves a group of ladies who meet up every week at a private house and after class have a light supper and chat. Its a small bespoke group, this group gave the teacher the confidence to get another group together and she now has 4 bespoke groups a week.

We need to be authentic, and move away from what feels comfortable and put a little of ourselves into our work.

What could you bring to the table that would change the structure of a normal class session?
