Congratulations to everyone who ran, organised, and volunteered at The Cornish Marathon 〓〓 πŸ’ͺ

We are pleased to have sponsored and attended pre-marathon, helping runners with kinesiology taping and minor injury advice. It’s great to be able to give something back to the East Cornwall Harriers and other local runners who have trusted in our services throughout the year - Thank you πŸ™

This week Lee attended a bone health event at the Health and wellbeing innovation centre, Treliske. The event was centred around osteoporosis, imaging, treatment and prevention.

It was great to listen and learn from other medical professionals (Consultants, GP’s, Rehabilitation specialists) who take a holistic approach towards osteoporosis.

Something Lee took away from the event is, people diagnosed with osteoporosis can feel powerless. Osteoporosis is not simply reduced bone density! Bone quality and toughness is a big factor in bone health.

Patients with osteoporosis can take control of their bone health by considering their diet, exercise regime, nutrition, and balance. Enhancing global health, mental wellbeing, and feeling empowered!

Last week I treated a lady who hadn’t been able to carry out her volunteer work, teaching children for a month because of her severe lower back pain. This week (1st follow-up) she was pain free and delighted to back to work πŸ’ͺ

She kindly knitted me a pair of socks to say thank you 😊

Congratulations to everyone who ran The 40th Cornish Marathon yesterday πŸ’ͺ

Pre-race Lee worked with quite a few runners who had mild muscle strains and tendinopathies. During the race Lee stuffed his face with a pasty and cake. Post race he aided recovery, reducing DOMS and cramps with osteopathy techniques.

Big thank you to the organisers and volunteers. Lots of smiles whilst walking like a cowboy post race, roll on marathon 41.

No, Lee is not running the marathon πŸ₯΅

On the 3rd November Lee Clarke will be based within Millennium House 1 hour before start time offering free advice, assessment and kinesiology taping for any runners with last minute niggles.

Post race (until 3pm) Lee is offering 15 minute recovery sessions, utilising osteopathy techniques which may include, soft tissue manipulation, MET/PNF stretching and joint mobilisation aiding recovery. These sessions are on a first-come, first-served basis.

We are not charging for our service on the day. We are supporting East Cornwall Harriers, chosen charity β€˜Liskeard & Looe Food Bank’ encouraging voluntary donations, at the food bank station on the day, or after the event.

Good luck to everyone participating in the marathon πŸ’ͺ
