If you want to take part in this year's star count, watch the video and find out how.
We've taken part in this before. Gazing at the stars from the moors is amazing as there's hardly any light pollution.

Hello everyone

I have some good and bad news.

Good news- I have gained a place at Arts University Plymouth where I am studying a BA hons in Craft, Materials and Practices. I started in September and I'm really enjoying my course so far.

Bad news- Forest School has to take a back seat whilst I am studying, so I will not be organising any events this year.

**I will however update the page with any nature inspired crafts, community projects and activities**

Did you know that this week is National Insect Week?

Some people think certain insects are pests, but they are very important to our world.

They cycle nutrients, pollinate plants, disperse seeds, maintain soil structure and fertility, control populations of other organisms, and provide a major food source for other creatures.

The Royal Entomology Society study insects. They are running a competition at the moment. Click the link below to enter your artwork.

We invite entries of insect related artwork from children and young people in the age categories of 3 to 7 years, 8 to 12 years, and 13 to 18 years.   There are themes of ‘endangered insects’, ‘people and insects’, and lastly ‘moving insects’.

***Apologies needed- I'm Sorry
I've not been posting on here lately as I've had a few stressful months. Our landlord was selling up so we've had to move house, and with all the searching, then packing and moving I've let this page slide***

However, is happening and we are currently on day 4.

30 Days Wild is The Wildlife Trusts' annual challenge where they ask everyone to do one wild thing a day throughout the month of June.

If you are also taking part please put your comments and photographs on this post and we can share our love of nature together.

A small video of our Moth and Bat game.
One person is blindfolded in the middle of the circle - this is the bat
Everyone else are moths and spread around the outside of the circle.
It is the bats job to capture the moths using echolocation.
The Bat shouts bat, and the Moths shout moth.
If you were captured you became a Bat too.
