I was first introduced to essential oils when a friend suggested using Lavender oil to calm my mare when she was stabled as she would jump her stable door. The Lavender had an immediate effect on my mare keeping her calmer and in her stable from first application. I then, having become a firm believer in this amazing, magical potion, tried some different oils for different ailments and issues and was equally impressed. Fast forward a few years and these products were no longer available and I found a gap in the market not just for products I wanted for myself and my horses but also friends and their horses for anything from sweet itch to anxiety and everything in between. I decided to embark on an aromatherapy course to gain more knowledge on the subject and learn how to blend the oils safely and beneficially.

We’ve had a few new followers over here lately so I thought I should reintroduce myself…

My name is Stephanie and I am the founder of It's Oil About You.

I was first introduced to essential oils a few years ago, when a friend suggested using Lavender oil to calm my mare.

Tallulah used to regularly jump out of her stable. Amazingly, the Lavender had an immediate effect on her, keeping her calm and in her stable from the first application. I tried some different oils for different ailments and was equally impressed.

Fast forward a couple of years, having become a firm believer in these amazing magical potions, I embarked on a journey to create the highest quality homemade essential oils. I started small, making products I wanted to use for myself and my horses. Soon enough, my friends and friends of friends were after my products for anything from sweet itch to anxiety and everything in between. I decided to further my expertise and undergo an aromatherapy course to gain more knowledge on the subject and learn how to blend the oils safely and beneficially.

And here we are! We are now in a position to offer a range of all natural, home blended essential oils for you and your horse. Catering for a wide range of ailments and issues. Whether your looking to calm nerves, reduce stress or improve mood or sooth inflamed skin problems, we have you covered.

When we first started developing both our human and equine products, one of the most important things to us was ensuring that they remained all natural, sustainable and vegan friendly.

All of our ingredients are plant based and home blended so we know exactly what goes into each and every bottle.

🌿 N I A O U L I 🌿

We only use the highest quality, all natural, essential oils in all our products so we thought we should tell you a bit about them…

Niaouli is a highly versatile essential oil from the paper bark tree that stimulates the bodies own immune defences. It is also an effective wound healer that protects and restores the skin with antiseptic and antiviral properties.

Niaouli is one of the key ingredients in both our equine and human versions of “Immune Be Boosted”. It is best used as a massage oil to restore dry/flakey skin or relax muscles to give you or your horse a much needed boost.

HOOF BE STRONG 💪🏼

You’ve got to love the British Weather. One minute it’s rock hard, the next we are knee deep in mud!

Does your horses mane look like this? 😱

Winter rugs with neck covers can sit heavily on the mane and constant movement as your horse lifts and lowers their head can rub the hairs out.

Our “Hair be Long” formula works in three ways. To reduce friction between the rug and the mane to prevent hair loss, to strengthen the hair and to stimulate new growth.
