🌼 Spring COVID Booster 2026 – Protect Yourself This Spring 🌼
As we move into spring, we want to support our patients in staying healthy and protected. COVID-19 is still circulating, and for those at higher risk, a spring “booster” dose offers important extra protection.
The NHS spring vaccination programme begins April 2026, and we’re pleased to confirm that our first clinic will take place at our main site on Tuesday 14th April 2026.
✔ Who can get the spring booster?
The booster is recommended for those most likely to become seriously unwell from COVID-19:
• Anyone aged 75 or over (including those turning 75 before 30 June 2026)
• People living in older adult care homes
• Those aged 6 months or over with a weakened immune system, whether due to a health condition or treatments such as chemotherapy
✔ Why should I get the booster?
Protection from previous vaccines or infections reduces over time, and the virus continues to evolve. A spring booster helps to:
• Reduce your risk of becoming seriously ill
• Support a quicker recovery if you do catch the virus
• Lower the likelihood of needing hospital care

Students can be more likely to catch certain infections, so getting your vaccinations checked is a smart move. Just register with a local GP and ask them to look at what you’ve already had — HPV, MenACWY and MMR are the big ones to know about.
And if you’re missing any, you can still catch up for free. Easy.
Protect yourself, look out for your friends, and enjoy student life without unnecessary risks.
