So this morning's meeting was tricky, there were 3 other groups upstairs too! Six of us were there.
Never mind, we had some interesting discussions, memorial benches was the start... and off we went.
The next meeting is on April 30th. Look forward to seeing some of you there.

One of our members has just pointed me to Radio 4's , The Body Politic'. On 5th March it was about assisted dying. At first I got annoyed... then interested. Well worth listening to the end.

I was invited to talk to the East Preston Parish Council last night about Death Cafes. They had about 6 members of the general public there.
I gave them a tiny bit of information, then threw them into a mini DC. They were up for that ' discuss in small groups what you'd like for your final meal' , just one of the ways we might start at one of our monthly meetings.
Off they all went.... great fun and as fascinating as it always is.
I think some of them might well come in the future.
If you have a group who would like this too I'm happy to oblige. 15 minutes, no cost.

Another beautiful gathering in Lingfield is anyone wants to go further afield

At the end of the Harvest season and the beginning of Winter, the ancient festival of Samhain marks the boundary between the living and the dead.

According to ancient mythology this boundary to the otherworld is at its thinnest at this time of year, allowing the souls of the dead to enter our world.💀

Speaking of the dead... next week we are holding our drop-in Death Cafe. Come along to chat all things life, death and in-between - and enjoy a cuppa & biscuit too, of course!
