NHS England chief: *”This strike was on an unprecedented scale and had a greater impact than all the other industrial action we have seen so far this winter combined."*

These early numbers, likely to be underestimates, show that our strike has had a huge impact on electives whilst maintaining emergency services. We have proven that we can withdraw our labour while keeping patients safe.

This demonstrates our strength in unity. We’ve come together for the goal of full pay restoration and we’ve shown the value of our labour in the workplace and why we deserve pay restoration.

Continue preparations for further rounds of action. Let’s see how the negotiations play out next week. We hope that Steve Barclay will recognise the importance of settling this dispute promptly in our favour, but we should avoid any complacency.
