Dear Friends,
Today I was hiking the most popular active volcano in Antigua Guatemala 🇬🇹 called Pacaya volcano with my guide, driver and a local guide. Total of 7 kilometres going up to the top just one kilometre before the volcano and coming down to the bottom. It took total of 5-6 hours.
It was amazing and challenging and my heart felt thanks to my team.

Few information about Pacaya volcano:
Volcano de Pacaya is an active, accessible stratovolcano in Guatemala, popular for hiking due to its frequent, relatively mild eruptions, lava flows (though not always visible), smoking craters, and stunning views of neighboring volcanoes like Fuego, a must-do for visitors near Antigua, offering a unique chance to walk on fresh lava fields and even roast marshmallows,It’s part of the Central America Volcanic Arc and offers day and overnight tours, with trails leading through forests to barren volcanic rock. It erupted on 2014, 2018, and 2020.
